Morning all

mission

Choose your own babysteps

DS1 has wet he bed, so I have stripped, remade it and carried him back, as he was taking up all my space. DH was and still is dead to the world. I have put all the bedding in the wash and will hang it in the real morning grin

I am waiting the 10 mins then I can have some more painkillers. I am sore, but not too bad, just find it easier to get to sleep if it doesnt hurt so much when I move.

We put up a baby gazebo and a paddling pool, so the boys can have fun in the sun today and I can relax on the sun lounger.

Catch you later sleepyheads

RupertTheBear Wed 23-Jul-08 08:26:38

Hello - can I join in? I am new to MN, but have been FLYing for a while. I don't FLY properly, because I work a long day Mon-Wed and then have two children to put to bed, dinner to cook etc so tend to leave my house completely (luckily it doesn't get into too much of a state as we are out all day!) until Thurs when I try to fit in all the week's missions. I am off for 6 weeks now (am a teacher) so am going to have a go at proper FLYing.
My house isn't too bad but with two little ones it can get in a state really quickly.

Jas Wed 23-Jul-08 08:44:18

Morningsmile

Welcome Rupertsmile

envy At finished list already! Dylsmum

Good luck with the cooker Shanna*

*TMH
I hope you are having a quiet day today. I have a longstandin back problem which I can ignore most days, but can't sleep though the pain so I know what you mean. It is still very early post op for you, but you seem to be making a good recovery.

I'm off to work in a bit with all three dc in tow (only 1.5 hrs at a friends house) then we will be playing at home.DP came home with a huge paddling pool/swimming pool last night. It fills the garden! We cleaned and filled it up yesterday andif it is nice I will be outside supervising all day today. I need to hoover and sweep first to reduce the dust/bits on the kids feet going in and out of the water.

biglips Wed 23-Jul-08 08:57:55

Morning again all

Didnt get too much sleep last night. DS1 is not right, but can not put my fingure on it at all. Have calpoled him up again.

Both biys have gone to work with their daddy, so I am having some peace. It is hard with LOs they just want to cuddle and dont understand.

I have done a general tidy round.

DH is feeling sad that he couldnt wake up, but at least he hung out all the washing this morning and did all the morning fly routines.

Welcome to Rupert I used to love him as a child my favoriate TV character. We are a friendly bunch and I am sure you will slot right in.

Shanna Talk cabon cleaner please

Tort Let us know how the doctors goes

Jas I can manage without pain killers during the day and am fine once I am off to sleep it is just getting comphy and off.

Hi all. Welcome rupert.

I am at work today (a one off) and Mum is at home with DCs. She's staying until tomorrow. She's great with the kids but they get totally hyper when she's here!

Not likely to get much done today. Will start again tomorrow.

TheMadHouse Wed 23-Jul-08 16:08:01

Greyskull You were NOT wingeing

lucysmam Wed 23-Jul-08 16:28:02

i meant me whingeing on about my lo, not u!!!! *confuddled>

RubyRioja Wed 23-Jul-08 17:30:58

Hello all

Sorry to read your news Greyskull - must feel very sad. Do try to give yourself an easy time - I think it is important to grieve over things as they happen, rather than store up sadness. Not that anyone gets over, more that they can let a little bit go and manage with the rest.

Mad - you sound in great form, but also take it cautiously - would be easy to feel fab and do too much then put back your recover. Day on sun lounger sounds perfect!

Have done v little today but socialise so am in good mood. House is unruly, but hey, we have 6 weeks to chill and have new, relaxed routines.

bbl (no doubt!)

RubyRioja Wed 23-Jul-08 17:31:17

welcome Rupert - I used to love you as a child grin

TheMadHouse Wed 23-Jul-08 17:36:19

Ruby Thanks for the card, very tame indeedy. I feel great. I have had a couple of hours nap and a bit swollen.

I will be taking the boys for a haircut tomorrow and we are minding my friends two, as she has an inquest to go too - really short notice (only found out today)
