Morning Guys,

Feel on top of things today as managed to hoover house over weekend and that always makes the place seem cleaner.

Good mission today as I told myself yesterday I ought to do it soon.

I have work later and there is an event in town so i expect traffic to be a nightmare.

Anyway, I have managed to do my morning routine , have got DD1 and 2s things ready for the morning...

Morning.

Thanks for the thread EHM. Are you oing somewhere nice?

Sounds like people had fun at the weekend.
jas I try to encourage mine to entertain themslves too (within reason as DD still only 3). I find they automatically come to me first then go and find something else if I am unavailable (usually they play for longer if they find their own games). I wish we had more kids near us.

Have a hectic week so am just doing basics (again).
BBL.

Forgot to say, Jas - absolutely right to get them to entertain themselves. DD1 has always been good at but it is even more fun now DD2 can play with her. The other day DD1 was the baby and DD2 was the Mummy pushing her around in the little dolls buggy for ages

Morning Everyone

Haven't been here since Thursday but have been progressing slowly

Lazytown was fab, kids loved it although I was a bit at grown women dressed in full Stephanie gear complete with teeny weeny dresses in the audience

Anyway today I plan to:

Clean hamster
Make beds
Post passport forms for dc's
Hoover throughout
Ironing pile
Declutter some toys

That'll be it for today I think, desperately need to sort out more of a defined routine I think, I'm just sort of muddling through at the moment.

Have a good day everyone

Morning everyone

EHM hope you have a nice time away

TMH your tooth sounds very painful I don't think mine has a clot either...just the hole still, although the gum seems to be closing in a bit more now.

I have to go and clean today (forgot on friday as the kids had an inset day!
I'm also waiting for my Avon order to arrive.

My washing machine has finally stopped making a horrible noise!?? not sure how or why, but it is ok again now....only trouble is, it omits a vile smell (DD1 described it as "cat sick" which is probably quite accurate...not that I have ever smelled that much cat sick in my life...try not to get too close to things like that...DD1 is a lot like a sniffer dog though so I expect she would know more about it!!!)

EHM - Enjoy your hols

Ruby - I guess from the grin that everyone is ok.

SirCharlie- Agree that dressing up for lazytown if you are over 6 is

LML I've found soda crysals help with stinky washing machine...

DS is great at entertaining himself Unless the dds are around to disturb him.

DDs can play on their own, but seem to think I am a full time entertainer and want taking out all the time.

We have lots of children locally and dd1 often plays out, but dd2 seems a bit of a target for picking on eg little girl handing out sweets to every kid in the street except dd2 yesterday How can I make other children behave nicely? She has a very strong sense of fairness, and is unusually kind and generous and just can't understand when others aren't the same.

Well I need to go and start in the kitchen. It is not too bad as the sink was shiny bfore I went to bed last night, and I've done most of my moring jobs already.

Ruby Do tell

Loopy I agree on the soda cristals with jas, alt run with bicarbe in the drum and add some white vinigar in the soap dispenser. Teeth who would have them.

Jas That is just wrong regarding the sweets

Sir urgggggggggggggggg at grown woman in childrens costumes - just plain wrong

Waves to all I have missed

Hi all.

Ruby Hope all ok.
jas for your DD. Kids will always find someone to target, hopefully they'll move on to someone else eventually.
Charlie LOL, my DCs would die if I dressed up as stephanie!

Have been to DS sports day this am. It was a bit of a muddle as reception children did a relay race, they had to balance a beanbag on their heads, throw a hoop and skip then run back to the start. Well the girls managed well, but none of the little boys could skip, lots of them got upset and cried as they couldn't do it . My DS didn't even want to go in the race so his lovely teacher did it with him . Thankfully they all seemed ok by the end.

To do:
Buy milk etc
Hoover
BR
laundry.
Give out rest of thank you cards at school.

Jas · 14/07/2008 12:40

[shock ] Scatty I hate sports day with a passion, but at least ours practice their races first, and I don't think they have ever tried to get them to do things they just can't do yet.

I think dd2 is always going to struggle. She is just not like other children, and always reacts when they tease, so encouraging them to do it more.

Kitchen is done, next load of washing in, and this room tidied. Bathroom next.

been to asda got some good bargains.
organic toms reduced from 1.50- 50p
cherry toms reduced from 1.20- 40p
big bunch of bananas for £1

all things which get eaten really quick in ours. and spotted some massive price increases on other things. washing tablets i buy are normally about 1.50 a box up to 1.95
the cereal ds likes normally 1.20 a box was 1.60 and a few others. still pleased as my shopping came to £30 so menu planning is def reducing my shopping bill as i go in a buy (almost) just whats on my list in stead of aimless wandering as i normally would buying whatever takes my fancy.
have just had lunch now need to do some houework in the next 40 mins as i need to go out to ds school play- something says not a lot going to be done. gonna set 10 min timers for each room and see ho w ig et on

ruby i hope all is well

Now I have to explain that tomorrow is the last day. We were going to make cakes on Thirsday for him to take in for his teechers.
