If you have another girl - why not??

I saved all of DD's stuff - then had DS so only used unisex/jeans etc, but deffo would have used it all (season dependant) if had a girl.

Blimey yes.
Then to cousin
Then to cousins younger sister
Then to their neighbour
Then to someone else but I have forgotten who

Goodness yes! Far too expensive not to, and some things are hardly worn, especially early years stuff.

my DD is in clothes from her older cousin...

the clothes she has outgrown have been sent on to my friend who had her DD two weeks ago...

I have 2 the same gender and saved everything. I have already used pretty much all of it for the aprropriate age groups apart from a few things that were the wrong size at the wrong season as they were born at different times of year. The only problem is that you get bought lots more for the second one so you do end up with a lot of clothes so you have to be organised keeping them in separate age-labelled boxes and be on the ball about getting them out again before they grow past them. I found it hard to get rid of them for sentimental reasons and enjoy seeing the second one in stuff the first one wore and remembering them in it etc.

Only other thing is that mine have very different colouring - one brown eyes and one blue eyes and I was surprised how some things did not suit the second one as much as a result.

I do, loads of mine are now doing the rounds on ds3. The ones he has yet to grow into are loaned to another mumsnetter for her son to use meanwhile.

Oh yes. Why wouldn't you?

Dd had a snow-suit in a unisex colour. My mum got it in a charity shop but it was in very good condition. Both ds's wore it subsequently. Then passed it to a friend for her youngest. Her nephew wore it last winter and it was lovely to see it being worn again!

why on earth wouldn't you?

dd2 has a very varied wardrobe - she has one pair of trousers that have been through 3 older cousins and dd1...

apart from newborn stuff (which we had to buy as only had a few vests and a couple of 1 tog grobags from dd1 - literally!) she has had 3 new things I think, and one of those was last week when I had to buy her a replacement outfit when she was sick while we are out shopping...

Yes everything from newborn up was saved, buy dd2 a few new bits here and there (when seasons havent quite matched) but most things would be able to be reused again as they grow so quickly so sold lots on ebay when dd2 finished with them

Only thing I didnt keep for dd2 from dd1 was shoes & pj's (not sure what dd1 did to pj's but they were not worth saving)

Yes absolutely

dd used sleepsuits and the unisex things from ds.

I have kept bits from both of them for no.3.

Dd has loads of clothes that she's been given by neighbours and friends.

recycling clothes is fab.

Hell yeah!! DD4 is 2 weeks and has lots of DD3's (18 months) things, DS2 wears lots of clothes that DS1 has grown out of.
We also get given lots of clothes from our neighbour as their DS is 4 years older tha DS1

Yes of course. Although my kids are getting bigger - the stuff that dd wore at 12mo and ds1 wore at 9mo is on ds2 now at 6mo. Good job I'm not having another one!
