I have a wonderful cleaner who wages war against limescale and black mould. I think it involves industrial quantities of bleach and Viakal.

Dettox Mould and Mildew remover, and one of those grout brushes from Lakeland.

This stuff from Lakeland is the only thing that got the black bits off my tiles

SoMuchToBits Sun 16-Sep-07 23:07:40

That looks good too, Pimms!

oh you don't. you vaguely think about it for about a second a week and then decide life's too short to think about it any longer than that

ha ha! well that was my train of thought so far www, but i was starting to feel ashamed its got so bad.!

Dettol mould and mildew remover is brill - spray on, leave, rinse off (scrub with eg washing-up brush if any lingers)

It's chlorine bleach so don't inhale.

And nothing works on silicone except replacement.

HTH grin (I just let mine be)

All these tricks probably work. If there is anything left on the tiles you can always colour in with a grout pen. You can get them in B&Q or somewhere like it. Its like a marker and really works

Pink and orange disappear even quicker than black with the mould remover, pruni. (Toothbrushes much too fiddly though, washing-up brush - kept for this purpose, not pinched from kitchen with bits of burnt egg in - works just as well and much easier)

I finally got some of the Dettox stuff - it is magic. It worked on everything (though it says wipe away, don't rinse off into drains (ekkk!), even the plastic silicone stuff.

Does it say that??? shock I always rinse it off with the shower and wash it down the drain...oh dear

It worked on your silicone? envy
