Those colours you choose to mix yourself usually have a massive range in them.

white with a softglow peach bulb in the lighting?

Dimity, Farrow and Ball. It's an off white but has an almost pinkish tinge. I know as it's in my bedroom and I don't want a pinkish tinge!!!

LOL Furzella

I have just painted a tester of dulux "Blosson White" looking ok so far.

I want a girly room but want to avoid it being too candyfloss and over the top pink!

Dd2's room is painted a very pale cream with a red and white spotty Cath Kidston Roman blind - exactly because I wanted something girlie but not barbietastic. She really likes it and I think it will grow with her as well (mean mummy has no intention of decorating again for a long time!).

There is a nice red and white gingham/hearts range in Next actually - considering that..

Your DDs room sounds lovely

Yes Blossom White should be good - I used Violet White from the same range in dd's room as it was the palest I could find. It did look darker at different times of day, though

Homebase also does a range called The White Room which has a colour called Petal White which looks very subtle...
