I'll look at the mission etc when we get home

Mornin all

Find a holiday destination for nxt yr BB? There's some forward planning! (I haven't recovered from this yr yet LOL)

Dusting today then.

shouldbe Wed 29-Aug-07 08:59:11

Can I just share my (non FLY related) news?...have just weighed myself and have lost 20lbs since the end of May Feeling pretty pleased with myself

Jas Wed 29-Aug-07 09:09:00

shockgrin shouldbe Well done.

BigBear That is exactly why I hate housework and need these threads to keep me motivated. It is the same stuff all the time, people only notice when it isn't done and no one thanks you for it.
At least if I put a big list of stuff here and then do it all, someone will notice and say well done, and I can see it and feel that I have achieved something.

yaddayah Wed 29-Aug-07 10:44:10

well done shouldbe

Am doing crisis cleaning today, 45mins in and its still a tip shock blush

Got a friend coming over this afternoon so better get on

Off to get the hoover out !

It's not much but I'm claiming it proudly

AufishFeQueen Wed 29-Aug-07 11:29:52

OMG! My mother is on her way! Panic over! It's alright she's bringing pasties! grin
My challenge today is to get this house in a respectable state for her to come here. So will be doing the crisis cleaning as well today. Won't be on here for the next couple of days as I will be enjoying my boys birthdays. I'm feeling old sad

BigBearistheBigBear Wed 29-Aug-07 11:40:12

should be that's amazing. How have you done it? I need to lose about a stone, but am too fond of a little drinkie in the evening and chocolate puds and crisps.

jas I said to my DH that I'd been busy doing housework all day yesterday and I don't think he even bothered to reply. May have grunted inaudibly sad.

Am planning ahead for the holiday as we are going away for a week with my parents, and it will be the first time we've been abroad since our honeymoon. So want somewhere good!

Wish I was at the zoo!

~done 2 loads of washing
~Tidied upstairs
~Picked all the dirty clothes up
~S&S bathroom and loos
~Wiped kitchen surfaces down
~Got DS back...who is HYPER!!
~Taken tent down and put it all away (PHEW) were quite sad though..
I actually hoovered the tent out before putting it away blush my neighbours must think I'm potty!
~Unloaded and reloaded D/W (got it the right way round today!)
~Sprayed the inside of the oven with Mr Muscle oven cleaner....soon to be rinsed out.

Left to do:
~Clean oven
~Clean fridge

ludaloo Wed 29-Aug-07 11:44:44

jas you put it very well! That's why I like the threads one else understands the need for a "thankyou" or a "well done" do they..

RubyRioja Wed 29-Aug-07 11:46:05

Yoo hoo all!

Back from teh excursion to rellies. Lots of fun, but it was always weird staying in someone else's house isn't it?

Have largely unpacked, but have huuuuuuge pile of laundry. But have begun in true fly style.

Tottaly impressed Shoudl be - do you feel fab?

And LOL at BigBear and the Kitten of Doom!

DH and I are out on 'date night' tonight - you get the babysitters where you can don't you!

Now objective advice time - do I buy a Organised Mum diary or revert to mini-filofax? I had OM last year, but too big to fit in handbag, though they have changed style. Advice from Organised Flyladies pls!

Mwah mwah - see too many days air kissing rellies!grin

Good luck all today with demanding and dull tasks!

ludaloo Wed 29-Aug-07 12:36:28

Hiya Ruby glad you had a good time away.
They do a small version of the OM diary too I think.... it is

It looks good actually... I have been debating getting one, I'm waiting for my calender to arrive. I'm also hoping the calender starts this says it starts in I hope they mean september this year hmm

~Oven Cleaned PHEW!!!!!!

ludaloo Wed 29-Aug-07 12:42:11

I have just ordered it (you see this is what happens when I have too much time to think about it!!) It looks easier to fit in a bag, but still plenty of room to jot down what I'm doing.

RubyRioja Wed 29-Aug-07 12:43:42

Have ordered mine now thanks - you stopped me pro-crastinating. I'd chase yours though. I ordered my calendar and it arrived next day!

RubyRioja Wed 29-Aug-07 12:44:30

tee hee! I think it is good - last years was just too big for me.

ludaloo Wed 29-Aug-07 12:44:53

...also says it starts in must be this september otherwise that would be madness to have to wait until next september hmm

ludaloo Wed 29-Aug-07 12:46:15

Next day eh....well I ordered it over the bank holiday so was just assuming it wouldn't have got processed just yet...will chase it if it doesn't come in the morning...

yaddayah Wed 29-Aug-07 13:00:58

House clean and tidy

3 mins to spare before they arrive !

Can I have a round of applause please grin

I am knackered !

Have looked at those organised thingy wotsits .. they're lovely but knowing me I'd get bored after 3 weeks and it would end up stuffed in the back of a cupboard !

I just use a longline month calender with a single line for each day and jot stuff down on there.. mind you with ds's (age 5 and a half envy social life booming he now really needs one of his own .. ended up having to treble book playdates over the holidays!! )

ludaloo Wed 29-Aug-07 13:07:35

WHOOP WHOOP...<<Copious clapping>>

Well done yadd smile

I'm hoping to not put mine in the back of a cupboard...I'm a new and organised mum now (I even have to go to meetings for schools and such my kids are at school/nursery)...ludaloo looks like she is trying to convince herself of this!
