Pink paint

I am re-decorating my dd's bedroom and she wants it pink. Not my first choice but that's what she wants. However I can't find a pink paint to suit. I'm looking for a pale pink that wont't be too bright. Can anyone recommend a colour they have used themselves. I'm spending a fortune on sample pots but all the colours I've tried make me want to run screaming out of the room. Help!

Not a paint recommendation, but we compromised with DD's room, and painted 2 walls white, and 2 the purple she wanted - looks fresher.

Get a bright tester pot and mix it into a big pot of white for a light shade

My DD's room is pink, bubblegum pink - it's her room and that's the colour she wanted. Pale pink won't hit the spot oldbean, go bubblegum all the way!!! (DD's room is only two walls though thankfully, one having the built in wardrobes and one being the window wall!).

We've just done dd's room. I tried to find a really pale pink and settled for 'babe' (I think Dulux) and it is PINK!! There's a big pink glow seeping out of her room and it makes me want to puke!!!

Thanks everyone. We've just moved and the room is currently bubblegum pink (but very shabby and knackered looking)and dd loves it. I will try to persuade her with your recommendation Zephyrcat but in case it doesn't work could you tell me which brands you used MarsLady and Kbear? Ta very much.

I used B&Q's own brand paint, will check out the colour in a minute. It is really nice, soft bubblegum pink if you know what I mean, rather than LOUD BARBIE BUBBLEGUM PINK. There is a subtle difference ha ha

the focus one called turkish delight is gorgeous but certainly not subtle. I have that and ballerina in my kitchen and it works very well!
