No Mission as it's the weekend (YAY)

So sorry I didn't sign off yesterday. Was playing with Ed when we both conked out and fell asleep watching the Incredibles (Ed likes Elastagirl and Jack-Jack). DH woke me up by ringing the doorbell as he'd left his keys...couldn't be too cross tho as he was soaked by the rain (heh heh)

Further dones yesterday

Clean out snails (no eggs this time but I'm wary, they've all grown heaps, we must return them to the wild)
Put Ed to bed in his own room
Clean the clutter off the kitchen chopping block
Declutter the kitchen table
Declutter the dresser drawers

To Do
Tidy last night's chaos
Load and run WM
Load and run DW
Empty and put away
File paperwork
Clean hob
Do cat litter
Get washed and dressed
Put clean and ironed clothes away
Tidy front room (see if Ed wants to put his birthday train set away so I can vac the carpet!)

Plus usual S&Sing, general chores etc

Will be checking in later xx

Very quiet on here today...mind you, I've not done any FLYing either!

grouchy it's worse than the photos look really when you know how low the river usually is etc. Thankfully our house is on higher ground so we've escaped any damage. It's raining again now and they're forecasting much more rain in Oxfordshire overnight and tomorrow

Just about to get the kids ready for bed (nice and early, they're both tired and grumpy) then hope for a nice grown-up supper with dh and some telly time

See you all tomorrow x

Evening all.
MLR So sorry for your loss.

It was fun this morning at the charity shops xmas in july day!
Got a little fibre optic tree and some toys for Dc.(Not to keep for xmas though!)

Then we went on the train to town for trainers for DS1. We had about an hour and a half before train home! Found trainers for him (And me!) and got some bits i needed in Boots. Will have to go in again Monday to the main part of town not the bit on the outskirts for DD2s birthday presents. Just 2 bits to get her. Hope i can buy them without her seeing. Have no-one to have her while i shop.

Oh i have a bit of good news. I now have a barcleys bank account.

Hello tort, fancy seeing you here

Good news about the bank account, that'll make things easier for you

MLR Only just catching up and saw your really sad news. Don't know what to say except how truly sorry I am. You know where I am if you want to chat. x

Good grief shoudlbe Looks really scary! Just watching it on the news actually - really feel for all those poor people. Will take months for them to get sorted.

Feel a bit guilty now as have been having tantrums about my kitchen - or lack of one... guess I should just be grateful that I am getting it at last and it will be finished ONE DAY

Off to finish my list - been quite busy today so at least I've made some kind of order out of the current chaos of this house. I hate clutter and disorganisation - it makes me so irritable.

BTW shouldbe are you feeling better today? Have the antibiotics kicked in yet?

Report
shouldbedoingthehousework · 21/07/2007 19:12

Thanks gibberish antibiotics working very quickly (you only get three days worth so they expect it to clear up fast) Have felt much better today, still slight backache but not sure if it's related...

Make me get off the computer and go and make friends with dh - he's sulking cos I'm sitting on the computer and expecting him to make the supper....I just can't be bothered this eve...

Report
parceltongueisnotgibberish · 21/07/2007 19:17

Glad you are feeling better

Well, how SELFISH! Expecting you to get off the computer and make food - doesn't he know that you need all the research time and encouragement you can get to make sure your house is up to FLYlady standards? Have a good night. Just bought HP book so if I can drag dd1 away from it I'm off for a read.

Report
shouldbedoingthehousework · 21/07/2007 19:22

lol! He's banging about in the kitchen making sure I know he's putting himself out making supper...! I will go and chat to him soon, honest.

Enjoy HP x

I will once I get it - dd1 has locked herself in her room with it She's quite a fast reader though so might get hold of it tonight. Got it in Sainsbury's for £8 - not bad. No queuing all night for me lol - I need my beauty sleep too much. Should have seen dd1's face when I produced it though

Report
shouldbedoingthehousework · 22/07/2007 07:05

Good morning, hope you're all well today
Ds has had me awake since just after 6 but it has meant I've got some washing in and tidied the kitchen a bit so I'll have less to do later.
It's a lovely morning today - sunny, but foggy down towards the flooded valley, it looks pretty from my window
I need to do some bits and bobs with dd today (if I can think of a present for her teacher that we can make...any ideas?) but we'll have a lazy morning and get on after lunch.

Good Morning ALL

I managed to stay in bed until 8:30...result! DH was getting narked with me last night for loading the dishwaher before bed. He just leaves the cooking equipment in a bowl full of water wehich is freezing cold and greasy filthy by morning and, hey, I usually have to fish the spoons etc out of it in the morning anyway.

OK, whine over

So I've done naff all so far

Up and dressed
Make bed
Draw Ed's curtains
Make Ed's bed
Make a coffee

And I'm not busting my gut again today

Morning Shouldbe.
That was a nice early start for you . DD's were awake at 7.
I am sure i have better things to be doing than sitting here but still tired and DD's are playing happily together!

Need to go to the shop later for a few bits.
Also want to make cakes/flapjack/biscuits. Not sure which ones yet!

Have a good day all.

I have taken all the junk off the top of the kitchen cupboards and cleaned everything. Need to put it all back now but it'd be better if I could store everything somewhere else really...no idea where though Maybe I could make some space in the utility room.....I've also sorted through some recipes left by my mum so my dad and I could feed ourselves after she died - I've never used half of them so have put them in the recycling and kept any that I think we'll use. Has made me feel a bit and guilty, but I can't hang on to everything.
Dd has cleaned the cupboard fronts for me
The clear-out continues......
