Ive bought washing powder for the first time, fairy non bio. And I have no idea how to use it! Blush Do I mix it with water before adding it or add it in dry. The. It makes so sense, I feel so silly! Help me!

I assume it's bog standard washing powder and not some fancy stuff. In that case you just add a cap to the washing machine drawer (or straight in to the drum if you prefer the drawer to stay clean) and you're away. That is how I use my sensitive non bio washing powder.

I'm assuming you're asking as you used to use liquid and just swapped.

Just add a scoop in the washing machine detergent drawer. No need to water it down.

I chuck a dose straight into the drum, means it all gets I got he wash and the drawer stays cleaner.

Don’t use the full amount it says on the box either, a half dose is usually more than enough.

You put it in the dispenser drawer of the machine. There may be a number/ website on the side of the box to ask for a free measuring scoop

As above. If you’re doing a normal wash (without a pre-wash setting) you put it in the bigger drawer segment numbered II. The segment I is for powder if doing a pre-wash on really dirty clothes.,

Thank you all! The packet was very confusing, I thought I was meant to dilute it! And yes just made the switch as I think it’s cheaper than liquid...?

It’s much cheaper - I buy the biggest box of Ariel I can find (6kg or so) and it lasts forever. One less item on the shopping list to remember!

It also works much better IMO. Liquid doesn’t contain bleaching agents so doesn’t get stains out as well - with 3 under 4, I need something that gets rid of poopy nappy and miscellaneous food stains!

Great to hear @chloechloe! One more silly question..... how much do you add? It didn’t come with a scope! Blush I feel like such an idiot!!!!

check the washing mashine manual.
usually powder compartments are numbered:
I prewash
II main wash

but I put it directly i to drum - avoids powder stuck in the drawer if it doesn't dissolve due to low water pressure or too cold water in winter

how much is on the pack.
you can use a normal measuring cup.
on the pack is usually information on how to order a special powder measuring cup.
