Just made a nasty discovery.
Rattan style Moses basket has several small black or dark brown insects on it. Google suggests they are book lice. I have occasionally noticed small beetles like this in our house recently but figured they had come in from outside and didn't worry too much beyond disposing of them.
Now I worry we have an infestation and don't know what to do. We have 3 small dc and no time as it is, barely 45 min in the day that is not working, cooking or doing bedtime. Our house is slightly damp like many British houses but just don't have the energy to even start thinking about how to tackle this.....

Hi all, no laundry inside in summer. It is an uninsulated house so gets damp but more concerned to get rid of bugs!
It's not "information" it is just a general impression that many parts of the UK have a damp climate and there are definitely more problemd with household damp here than in drier places I've lived.
The book scorpions are fascinating, thsnks!! Never seen them for sà le though. Wondering about diatamaceous earth......
