What is your cleaning routine? :)

So I actually really enjoy cleaning Hmm so I tend to do jobs whenever they need doing really or do it when I’m bored. I’m trying to come up with a set routine though.

Normally, I do the dishes after every meal so it doesn’t pile up. Always wiping down kitchen surfaces. Sweep and mop kitchen floor everyday. Quick hoover in living room, hoover upstairs every 2 or 3 days. Clean toilet everyday. And normally do one load of washing a day or every other day. What about you? Smile

How do you wash your carpet everyday? Does it not take ages to dry?

Every day: hoover and wash all floors, wipe down kitchen after every meal, washing, wipe bathrooms over.

Weekly: deep clean bathrooms and kitchen, dust everywhere (usually do it mid week as well), ironing, change bedding

Monthly: clean windows and pull out all furniture and clean behind it

Forgot to add I do a deep clean of each room every week e.g scrub the bath etc haha! I also clean the bin every few days and clean the fridge every week.

My god, people do all this? We must live in filth 😂

Every day: stack/empty dishwasher, wipe kitchen surfaces.

Every few days:vac downstairs, sweep kitchen floor, dust downstairs, put bleach down loo, a couple of loads of washing.

Every week:clean bathrooms, ironing.

Odd jobs like cleaning inside of windows, door handles, clean fridge/oven etc: as and when required.

I seriously have not got the time or inclination to do that level of jobs daily. I do work though and our house is perfectly presentable.

You wash your carpet EVERY DAY? Am I reading that right? And clean the bathroom and kitchen every day too? And wash the sofa covers every fortnight? I am agog. Do you ever leave the house?

OMG! I feel like a total slob now!

I clean stuff when it looks like it needs cleaning. Kitchen has to be clean before I can go to bed (dishes done, surfaces wiped, etc) and I do the bathroom once a week but other than that stuff just gets done when I notice it needs doing!

I do the organised mum routine. It makes me feel like I’m doing just enough and my whole life is not revolving around cleaning. I am 10 days away from my due date so it has slipped a bit of late!

Mon Change beds, wash bedding, dust and hoover bedrooms
Tue wash towels clean bathroom
Weds mop floors, hoover sitting room
Thurs dust downstairs, clean (inside of) windows and mirrors
Fri clean bathroom, hoover stairs and landing

Other washing done as and when I have a full load

We have a kitchen/diner/family room that we live in and that is continuously being wiped/tidied/swept.

I don't know how you guys find the time for all the cleaning.

Cleaning the bathroom every day?

I just clean when things look a bit grubby.

Every day:

Wipe kitchen sides
Load dishwasher
Vacuum downstairs (only because baby makes a mess with crumbs etc, pre-baby would never do it this often)

Every week:
Bleach toilets
Vacuum rest of the house briefly

Every two weeks:
Dust
Deep clean bathrooms

I use 30 Days to a Clean and Organised House by Katie Berry.
I was never taught how to clean or how often to do things so this has been invaluable since I became a sahm

To the people who clean bathrooms (and apparently WASH carpets?) every day- do you not have a job/family/hobbies?

Absolutely baffles me when people clean anything other than the kitchen sides every day. Unless it's an OCD thing?
