Tell me about your essential oils!

I've been web stalking the Muji aroma diffuser for ages but couldn't justify the cost however much to my delight I managed to pick up couple at a bargain price in the Black Friday Hmm sales.

Both my children are worriers but my 11yo dd is a real nighttime worrier, often taking 3+ hours to switch off her mind and go to sleep. I was advised to try a lavender and wild orange combo for bedtime to promote restful sleep for her, so I'm hopeful for that little experiment.

I'm wondernig what other blends to try around the home that won't smell like I've splashed a bottle of tea tree around the place. I have I slightly wild dog (in the young, over-excited, over playful sense - not just feral!) so I want some essential oil recipes that aren't going to upset her but will make my home smell like it should be in Good Homes magazine, even if it doesn't look like it. Wink

I'm an essential oil newby so I'm curious to find out what people use.

I use lemongrass oil. I'm not sure what it's purpose is but it smells amazing!

Look at Fragrant Pharmacy - lots of ideas to use essential oils in all manner of uses including fragrance in the house - also a section of essential oils for dogs. Apparently dogs love yang yang

Neroli is lovely. I've got a few others I like - lavender (relaxing) eucalyptus (clears sinuses) rose
