Never going to get rid of this problem !

So I’ve had a mould problem on my home for 6 years ( soon as we moved in) it’s a council property managed by a housing association. They have done a few things to help me and I’ve followed all their advice in regards to window opening, heating on and i purchased a dehumidifier that cost me £140 to tackle this issue. I really have worked with them to sort this out but it still persists. A surveyor came out today and left two USB devices in my home to record the moisture in my home over a week period and also checked my gas and electricity metres to see how much has and electric I’m using by taking a metre reading so to me they are trying to call me a liar about me putting my heating on when I do but they expect me to have it on all day when it will cost me at least £40 a week to do that which we can’t afford! It’s like they are not trying to help me but are trying f to cover their own backs so I can’t blame the house. The house is an end terrace and only actually has 4 tiny windows at the front of the house so it’s very dark in the day.. the front room window is at the back of the house and the kitchen window is a small window at the front. Our toilet is down stairs so only have the bath upstairs. Windows and blinds are open daily. I’ve had to get rid of all curtains and i can’t have carpets in this house because of the mould. The mould is always ok external walls and only upstairs, downstairs is fine. We don’t even spend much time upstairs as well, we only have a shower every other day to reduce moisture and we don’t spend much time upstairs. It’s not as if we use excessive moisture.

I know for a fact they will use my metres as a way to say it’s my fault. I’ve had enough! I hate this house! We are overcrowded but I don’t see that as a problem. I’ve lived in houses before this and never had a problem with mould!
I’ve wrote to my M.P. who has wrote the executive of housing but I know for a fact I’ll be stuck in this mould depressing house forever. There is absolutely nothing more I can do to get rid of it I’m doing everything there is to do, there is nothing more i can physically do! I can’t even decorate the house because of this. I don’t have money for a deposit to live privately and we wouldn’t be able to afford private prices either. I guess I’m just having a rant really

What will happen if they deem this problem my fault even though I’m doing everything I can ? Will they just expect me to live like this and just keep cleaning it every 24 hours?

Not sure if you have had your problem resolved but just wondering if the gutters/downpipes on the external walls have been checked/cleared as I have similar problems and found this to be the cause as rainwater was running over the gutters and causing damp/mould on the inside. Hope that you've got it sorted by now Smile
