I seem to be really struggling with getting grease marks out, especially school shirts. What am i doing wrong?!!! They are getting a squirt of shout and washed in biological powder or liquid (mostly Lidl or Wilko), school shirts washed at 60 but they are still not getting the marks out. What am i doing wrong?

Scrub them with a bit of washing up liquid. Leave to soak in for a while. Rinse and rewash.

Hot water sets stains so try neat washing up liquid rubbed into the grease mark and a cooler wash with bio powder.

Is it primary school? I wouldn't go to too much bother tbh.

though you could try ironing the grease mark between 2 pieces of absorbent paper.

I've never found a stain yet that couldn't be removed by putting some straight fairy liquid onto it and leaving it overnight. Not to soak in water, literally a squirt of fairy liquid to cover the stain whilst dry. Then stick it on a normal wash. I've got all my workmates doing the same too. My grandma taught me that one and it's never failed me yet!

Thank you so much. I will give it a whirl!
Weirdly I use bio powder on burnt on food stains in pans, I hadn't thought of the other way round!!!

Yes it's primary! The odd thing is toddler, fine, infants, completely fine. It's been the move up to juniors and suddenly she's covered in food!

I used to do them at 30 or 40 degree washes depending on my mood. But I upped it to 60 in the hope it would get rid of the stain- clearly doing the opposite!!!
