Reed diffusers recommendations please!

I would like to buy a reed diffuser that works for a decent period of time and smells opulent. I've bought a couple of cheap ones from Sainsbury before but they only lasted a couple of weeks before the scent went.

I looked at John Lewis and they have a variety from £10 to £70. Are the Jo Malone ones great, does the scent last a long time? Or are the own brand ones as good?

I would suggest not getting one at all, sorry I am no help. They make me feel very ill, headache, sore eyes, nausea. They are not good for the environment.

Could you try something less toxic? Essential oil burner maybe?

I am a huge fan of Neom.
I have tried loads over the years and found them sickly , overpowering or just ineffective and a waste of money.
Neom are heavenly - I have received many compliments ( including DS aged 4 and DH who normally complains they make him sneeze !) One guest went home and bought herself one immediately.
My favourite is called tranquility.
I get them from John Lewis and occasionally TK Max .
One other thing I can say is never buy the white company ones - utter waste of money - lasted about a month compared to Neom 4 ish months .

Neom are lovely and also Cowshed, I've got one still on the go that I've had for months. Price's smell really nice and fresh but they don't last too long.

Jo Malone lime and basil last for ages. 'Pluton Brown Pink Peppercorn is lovely and light

Shearer candles do lovely ones. I think they are about £10 on amazon. I've had the amber noir which smells a bit like a deeper version of angel, and an orange and something one which was lovely as well.

They also do a rose gold one that smells like cherry bakewell. That's next on my list.

Jo malone are nice but not nice enough for the price difference. A friend got me pomegranate noir as a housewarming gift and it was gorgeous, but i couldn't justify spending that much myself

Neom are lovely but Neals Yard are the best. Last fir avsoloutkrt ages and are as natural as is possible to be.

I love "Seychelles" from the White Company - a light, fresh, summery scent.

Have a look at Kernow Spa, they are made in Cornwall smell absolutely gorgeous and last aaaaggggeees. Personal favourite is the bergamot and ginger but I have tried a few and they've all been really nice

The Waitrose own brand ones are great - pink peony is my favourite. They last a long time and have a great scent for £12 or £14 (can't remember which).

Rituals or Next ones are good. I prefer candles tho, molton brown or yankee

Am definitely going to try the Neal's Yard ones next, they sell refills which is much less wasteful.

Molton brown, mine has been going for months now (sandalwood I think?) and smells amazing still!

We've got an essential oil humidifier. It's sleek and you can change the oil whenever you like

Neom - the only reed diffusers that last well and they are 100% natural IMO. You can get refills and the website allows you to earn points for reviews.
Alternatively - and much stronger - catalytic lamps are brilliant for both cleaning and scenting the air. Lampe Berger and Ashleigh and Burwood both do these and they are fab - you only need to use for 20 mins and the whole house smells incredible.

My favourites are the Wax Lyrical ones. The small size are only £4 in Asda so you don't have to spend much to find out if you like them or not.

House of Fraser does a linea hotel collection range of candles and diffusers. The Fig Noir fragrance diffuser is divine, it reminds me of luxury hotel lobbies, kind of musky. This diffuser definitely gets noticed when you walk into the room/house. And it's always half price on their website. And it lasts around 6 months.
