Has oven pride got worse/weaker?

I used it on a previous really dirty oven and remembered it being amazing. I used it again last night in a year old oven and virtually none of the dried on more and more recent grease explosion had gone at all! So disappointed.

I didn't have that problem when I used it recently. I got our old oven clean in order to sell it.

I put it on again and it got a lot more off but ended up having to use a Brillo pad too! Some of the burned bits still didn't come off and its less than a year old. I think have to pay someone to clean it next time.

Irritatingly I damaged the work surface and some paint with it! Never again.
