Cleaner for 2 hours

Some perspective needed please- I recently employed a cleaner for 2 hours a week to clean our normal sized family bathroom, a small shower room and a large kitchen. Do you think cleaning these 3 rooms thoroughly in 2 hours is a bit too much to ask of her? I know it takes me a bit longer than that to do it thoroughly so don't want to take advantage. Thanks in advance!

In 2 hours (although she often leaves early, but takes full payment Angry) my cleaner does:

Kitchen wiping, hoovering, mopping
Lounge dusting & hoovering
Cloakroom cleaning & mopping
Hall & stairs hoovered
Porch mopping
Bathroom clean and mopped
2 or 3 out of 3 bedrooms dusted and hoovered.

Spare time is spent on dining room, window cleaning, anything she missed the previous week.

I don't think you're asking too much, but might depend on the level of cleaning. Some people want the basic clean of surfaces wiped and floors done. Other people want to do that themselves and leave windows, skirting boards, waxing wooden floors, etc to the cleaner

I think 2 hours to do those 3 rooms well is plenty of time. They should only have a week's worth of mess / dirt / dust at the most.

if she looked at the work and then charged you for two hours then that's what she thinks it will take so all must be good with her. It sounds fine to me.

We would usually charge our minimum rate for the scope of work you describe which covers two hours work or less.

I can clean a 3 bedroom house in 2 hours - reasonably thoroughly.

However as someone already mentioned, it kind of depends on the level of detail you need. I have one client with a 5 bed house where I clean all the house one week and a detailed clean on kitchen and bathrooms the following week.

Depends on the client basically. But any half decent cleaner should manage those rooms in 2 hours, easily.
