How do I remove dog sick from carpet?

Hi, my dog was sick on my daughter's bedroom carpet. Sorry to be graphic, but it was mainly a bright yellow bile. I used RugDoctor Urine eliminator which is also meant to eliminate vomit stains, but the yellow stain is still there. I'm only renting my house and the landlord is really fussy so I'd really like to remove the stain. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

We used 1001 carpet cleaner foam stuff but it still left a slight stain. It just wasn't yellow

What is the carpet made of? If it's synthetic, you can use dilute bleach to bleach stains without removing the carpet colour. If it's wool, then you can't.
