Only one kitchen drawer which is hidden

Hey I have moved into a house with a fitted kitchen and only one draw which is one of those hidden drawers and it is used for cutlery.

I miss nit having a draw which I can put miscellaneous stuff or just throw in crap.

Any ideas on how I can get another draw in my kitchen or maybe a quirkier alternative to a draw in the kitchen please

My new kitchen only has one (also hidden) drawer for cutlery. Massive oversight as i had 3 crap drawers in my old kitchen. The crap is now spread out - one drawer in the hallway, and 2 baskets in the kitchen cupboards. I should probably just get rid of most of it to be honest! But there's always something that comes in handy in all that crap...

For the last 15 years have had a kitchen with no drawers (can't afford new kitchen) but we have a bowl of crap in kitchen and drawers in the dining room!

One of the pullout shelf things (Ikea sells them)? I think they're wire, but you could use suitable boxes on it.

My last kitchen was tiny wee and had no drawers. There was no space to put crockery or cutlery at all.

I had a sideboard and the dining room, which you had to walk through to get to the kitchen, kept everything in there.

Drives me insane. We JUST replaced our kitchen at great expense. We have 3 giant wide drawers - cutlery - crockery - pans
Then one unit with 2 drawers - crisps and foil etc - Tupperware and bags

No little crap drawers. Nightmare. Have a whole cupboard FULL of little baskets. Dammit

My kitchen is mainly drawers Smile It was my main priority when I got a new kitchen. Do you own the house? Do you know the make/brand of the cupboards? It should be possible to convert a standard cupboard to drawers. Alternatively, if you have space for a freestanding unit you could add drawers in this way.

You can get wire racks, or simple drawers that attach to the underside of wall units, from Ikea and other places.

Oh, and you can get drawers fitted into your kick boards (is that the word? At floor level, underneath the units.). I have two Smile One is for plastic bags, and the other one for baking trays etc.

Does anyone have any tips for that awkward corner cupboard? I can't have the door changed to let me access it. I thought about putting a generic carousel basket arrangement in, but think I'd lose too much space. I've got so little cupboard space it's silly!

Wow that's clever...drawers under the cupboards! Clever use of space!! Wish I could do that.. don't think I can because the previous owners added lights there which come on when the gas is switched on to use the cooker

The corner cupboards are awkward .. such a big space and high shelves which you don't utilise properly unless you put those shelves in which you can double up you shelf space... you can get them from IKEA

I've put a box in the corner cupboard today, with things I don't use but have to keep- fridge pieces etc.
I've cleared out and rationalised... I still haven't found a tardis though.
