I've recently become a massive fan of stripes on my clothes and my sons clothes.
I always think that the white stripes seem to dull on the clothes. How can I stop this?
I wash on 30c and use bio detergent and also conditioner.

Boring I know, sorry gringrin

I always add a cupful of tables to the first wash on mixed striped
The salt sets the dye.
Having said that, it failed on a black tunic with a cream trim on the hem. The trim looks discoloured.

That should read a cupful of table salt.

Does it make the washing machine go rusty?

grin great shout, thank you!!
That sounds a lot easier. Should I just wash them with all the beige and grey sorts of colours or do I wash them with darks (the stripes are all navy and white)

Love stripes here too. I do stripes and brights together, separate from darks (jeans, black, navy etc.), in with a couple of colour catcher sheets... never had a problem with dye running with colour catchers into pale stripes this way.

No, the drum of the washer is made of stainless steel. I don't do it often though.
