Cordless vacuum - help!

My 10 year old Dyson has died after desperately throwing it around and kicking it for the last 12 months and I can finally justify spending some money on a cordless vacuum!

Any recommendations please? I am looking at the Dyson V6 which is currently on offer in a few places but open to suggestions if there are other makes/models which are better.

Anything by vax, my mum and I both have cordless vax that are different models and neither of us would ever go back to dyson!

I have a Dyson but it stays ignored in favour of the Gtech AirRam Mk.2 Cordless. Just love it -- so light and easy to manoeuvre.
