Morning Ladies

laloop take it easy and hope you are feeling better soon.

I only own about 4 pairs of shoes...so I won't be chucking any of them out!
The bottom of my wardrobe/closet is actually just full of more clothes! I don't have any space so they will have to stay there.

List to do:
~D/W
~W/M
~Hang washing out to dry
~Tidy kitchen
~Dust pretty much everywhere

I'm sure there is more.....but that will do for now!

Have a good day xx

Hello again

Back from the school run and having a quick sit down, a couple of slices of toast and some MN time

Have quite a lot of jobs carried over from yesterday so need to get on. I'm feeling a bit queasy though so am not sure how I'll get on. There's a tummy bug doing the rounds so I hope I've not caught it! Hope you feel better soon laloop

I'm like you luda and don't have many shoes BUT my wardrobe could do with a tidy up so I may try to have a go at that.

So, jobs for today ~
~tidy upstairs (esp dd's room)
~washing my bedding (again - cat walked mud all over them this morning)
~make beds
~dust upstairs
~hoover upstairs
~washing x2 loads
~empty and reload dw done
~clear pile of post from counter-top
~sort my wardrobe

That'll do for now, can't see myself getting it all done, but will finish my breakfast and try to press on - shoo me away if you see me here again before 12.30!

Morning all

Those of you feeling ill - I hope you get some rest and feel better soon

I have Lemon Drizzle cake in the oven

My bederoom closet has bags of clothes to return to assorted friends and relatives who have lent them to ds, a travel cot, a banjo, a shopping trolley full of winter coats/raincoats/summer jackets and a bag of assorted birthday gifts for children of all ages. I won't be sorting it all out today.
I put a pair of shoes in the charity bag when I sorted last week, though so I'm going to count them.

I have too much to do to list it, but I will try and do something, and report back later....

Hi all, I'm back with a list and will see how I get on (still feeling ropey, think it's a tummy bug ).
Today's List

  • Make beds

  • Sweep kitchen floor
  • Vacuum downstairs
  • Tidy up living room
  • Dust furniture etc
  • Bathrooms
  • Laundry - my priority today (2 loads sitting waiting to be ironed, folded put away, at least another 2 to go on)
  • today's mission - went and looked at bottom of my wardrobe and came over all dizzy at thought of doing anything about the state of it, lol, so will carry forward

Have done nothing so far today
Going to make a cuppa, MN for a while and then tackle whatever I can of the list.

Morning Jelley Shouldbe DWAL Laloop Luda and Sonnet

Hope all ill LOs are feeling better and their mums are coping.

DS seems to have terminal snots at the moment. He's well off it and is terribly snuffly. His appetite is off and he's welded to his pjs. Hope it passes soon as we're taking him to York Railway Museum as a Half Term Treat on Friday (He loves Mallard, bless him)

OK So Today's List

Up and Washed and dressed DONE
Ds up and washed DONE
S&S Bathroom DONE
Make DS bed DONE
Make our bed DONE
Draw upstairs curtains and blinds DONE
Downstairs
Load dw and run DONE
S&S hob DONE
S&S kitchen DONE
Clean out and rebuild downstairs gas fire DONE
Put fire guard back (I have it chained to the wall!) DONE
Sweep front room floor DONE
Sweep Kitchen floor DONE
Bash collected muck out of doormat DONE
Mop kitchen floor DONE
Mop front room floor DONE
Sort through drying laundry
Load and run TD
Make lunch
Tidy kitchen
Empty DW
Load WM
Make monster head
Make flapjack (Cherry and Almond)
Make pasta tea for DS
Tidy kitchen
Bath DS
Put him to bed

If I get through the list d'ya think I've done enough? I'll probably find a load of other stuff to do though.

Having a friend round tommorrow with her brood of 3. Her youngest is 3mths (awwh), eldest is 4.5, it's half term and I think she needs a break. I think Lemon Drizzle cake is required. (must make)

Got to go, DS is having a major meltdown as I took DH's leather office chair off him. He was really abusing it, I can't afford the £85 to replace, I warned him 3 times to stop so I hd to stick to my guns and remove it. He's calling me a 'bad mummy' and calling the police about me on his hand mobile. Ho hum

Have a great day ladies

laloop feeling off colour too, dh is taking half day as I think I have stomach bug want to curl up in bed but thought i should stay up. Young builder was mixing something in a big bowl thing to slap on walls and instead of using outside tap used my sink where all my lovely clean dishes were - wanker want to keep an eye on them

Report
grouchyoscar · 21/02/2007 11:03

Well I have....
hoovered living room and playroom
put washing on
tumbled and folded lastnights washing
emptied bins (bin day)
put dishwasher on

It's a start
All with a nearly 1yr old crawling around trying to be everywhere he shouldn't be

Report
laloop · 21/02/2007 11:08

TLV, sorry you feel sick too, I've just had to phone my dh to see if he can nip out from work to collect the wee ones from school.

Thanks for all the sympathy, everyone, you are all so lovely on this thread

Pleased to report that I have one load of laundry in the washing machine. Have sorted out some of the dry stuff, put towels etc into airing cupboard (or hotpress as we call it here in NI - have no idea why, lol). Am cheating on the ironing today as have chucked the remaining pile of clean stuff back into tumble drier for ten minutes to uncrease it and will fold and put it away straight from there.

TLV · 21/02/2007 11:13

hope you feel better soon laloop, I'm not touching the kitchen at the moment as the builders are working in the dining room part and they have taken the partition down so its all one room and the dust is everywhere!!

Report
TLV · 21/02/2007 11:22

getting an extension which should be completed in a few weeks (fingers crossed) I sometimes feel the builders have moved in with us its been ongoing since Oct last year. They have even started going to the loo without asking I mean I could be naked in the bathroom and they would be shocked

Report
laloop · 21/02/2007 11:32

Lol, TLV. I know what it's like, we had to do a fair bit of work on this house when we moved in - new kitchen, bathroom, replastering, electrics etc, etc, etc. Thought the builders were never going to go, and I was bf ds2 at the time so I remember skulking around the house trying to find a room where I wouldn't be barged in on while I had one of my boobs out

lol, I have to make sure I'm dressed really early for them arriving, no wandering round in my dressing gown, its even worse when they bloody stink the bathroom out and it can't be used for an hour euuuggh just the thought of it, I have to keep cleaning the toilet seat with dettol at the end of every day (infact thats a lie I do it when we've had visitors) oooh perhaps I have some sort of compulsive disorder about cleaning the bog

TLV, laloop - I remember those days too - we had the builders here from when I was 3mths pregnant till two weeks before the arrival of ds! Nightmare! Then they were back to sort out bits and pieces, turning up when I was bf ds and so on, it was a v uncomfortable time! I hope your work is finished soon TLV, I'm sure it'll be worth it
