New Start November - in which the Friendly Fledglings Flutter and Fly!

Hi all!

Welcome to a brand new month in which we (in a very casual way) follow the FlyLady method to try and banish CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome), and to declutter in order to remove an excess of STUFF (Something That Undermines Family Fun).

A daily BabyStep, plus missions, daily focuses and weekly zones break our time into manageable chunks - all helped by lots of supportive chat and a Naughty Corner stocked with goodies.

All welcome!

:) Hiya Foxes are you up feeding baby?

I just can't sleep as I took my tablets late. I probably won't get online in the morning as I have pupils to panic tidy up for. I have actually managed to do a bit tonight though instead of leaving it all for the morning!

So, here's the first links of the new month.

The Monthly Habit for November is MEAL PLANNING - I think many of us here try (try!) to do this anyway, so I won't link it every day, but will perhaps give reminders now and again especially to myself.

Baby Step #1 is Shine Your Sink!

We are in Zone 1 - entrance, porch etc and dining room. There's a detailed cleaning list linked on there if anyone has got that far!

Today's Mission: bye bye Halloween stuff!

Tuesday's Daily Focus is Planning - all those things that need organising...

And now I'm off to bed as I'm up in 5 hours. [headdesk]

Yep up with ds first time tonight though and he went to sleep at about 8 so can't complain. Although I did just try and put him down and he immediately wiggled about and some up so back holding him again!

Ooh meal planning - something i actually already do!

I'm going to take a look at the detailed cleaning for porch etc tomorrow.

Hope you are now asleep cag

Morning all, I must apologise for being AWOL so much in October, I was lurking but the Flying has slipped a bit recently. I have had a big paper clearout as per plan though.

Thanks for the October thread SC and for agreeing to do this month's Cag. Welcome back NickNacks.

Yea sorry SC thanks for the October thread!

Still in bed atm but can hear dd stirring. Have been feeding ds and noticed a suspicious wet patch on my pyjamas now...don't know if it's baby sick or baby wee Hmm and so my day starts as it means to go on!

To do
Collect millions of parcels from millions of different locations!
Detailed cleaning porch / dining area - I'm thinking hoover (dining area is part of living room so hoover all!) and dust dining table /shoe cupboard.
No point in me worrying about cleaning front door or windows as we're getting new ones before Christmas - hooray!
Laundry
Ironing
Got two or three thank you cards to do still keep putting it off
Go to the bottle bank
Mop bathroom and utility room floors as didn't do yesterday
Dust living room furniture

Think I'm definitely being over ambitious today!!

Can I join in-house has taken a back seat over the last few months and I don't really know where to start. Fed up with crisis blitzing which only lasts for a couple of days before it's back to its normal state 😞

Thanks for the October thread SC. By the end of October I have seen a difference. My sideboard declutter has made a visual difference in the dining/work room. It is certainly not finished, as it needs a detailed, thorough going through. It holds files and educational items for the DC mostly, so gets overloaded very easily. Last night I did 15 minutes decluttering of the surfaces in the rest of that room and cleared a lot more paper clutter.
This week I'm thinking of doing something in the hallway. The understairs cupboard needs redoing (only last did it in summer!) as the main reason hall gets cluttered is all the shoes and coats that everyone else refuses to put in the cupboard.
To make a start I have returned the pogo stick to the shed this morning.
Thanks for new thread Cag.
Waves to everyone else.

I've taken on a new influx of babies so won't get too much done today with 3 under 3s. I'm then off to a PTA meeting as soon as I'm finished work. My aim in the week is to keep on top of the tidying and anything else is a bonus.

Downstairs is reasonable and pretty decluttered but upstairs is hideous.

Swish and swipe bathroom(although only a bit of bathroom as for distracted)

Still lots more to do but for now I am enjoying total silence as both children are asleep at the same time! So I've had my lunch in peace and going to read my magazine for a while.

Cutting down on sugar still going terribly. I had cake while in town today because we had to stop to feed ds and dd inevitably asked for a cookie so I caved and got one too Blush I am rubbish at this! However it could have been worse because I got a free cake with a coupon and have saved it for dh! Have resisted any chocolate or cake with my lunch...
