How do you store your flour?

What's the solution to bags of flour looking messy in the cupboard and getting flour EVERYWHERE?

I need something that's easy to transfer flour into, that I can dip a cup measure into with ease (or pour into a measure, I suppose), and that I can label with the type of flour.

I just clip the bag closed and store in Tupperware tubs.

I use McDougalls in the plastic boxes for plain and self - raising.
I have an enamel tin ( bought in Sainsburys for another packet for bread making . Anything else is meant to be in Tupperware to prevent mites etc

Roll the top of the bag down and leave it on the side. Possibly not the answer you're looking for, although I don't remember spelling any.

I have Kilner jars and write on the glass with a sharpie.

I have plastic air tight tubs but I remove the flour from the bags. I never have flour mites as I understand the little buggers hide in the folds of the paper bags.

I use plastic air tight tubs but I empty out the flour into them. Flour mites hide in the paper bags apparently.

Oops, booming kindle, wish MN could sort out this slow problem.

I find I don't have room for tubs for each kind of flour so I now put each flour bag in a clear plastic food or freezer bag.

I use air tight plastic boxes.9 I bought them from a catering suppliers, they come in different sizes which can stack , they have a coloured tag to put on the corner of the lid, and I write on the front. I don't leave stuff in bags - it just gets messy.... :)

After a horrendous experience with psocids (weevils) in a previous house after flour went unnoticed at the back of a cupboard, flour is practically banned in my house. Fortunately not into baking (though I love The Great British Bakeoff). If I need flour it gets quarantined in air tight containers for short time then gets put in outside bin asap even if not much of the bag of flour has been used. Better safe than sorry!

All my baking stuff is in a large plastic crate, so any flour dust doesnt escape and weevils can't get in.

I use the McDougalls tubs too. My mum has a ceramic flour holder and she get weevils every now and then. I have been lucky so far and never had them.

I also buy the cheaper flour and decant into the McDougalls tubs when they are empty...

I bought a large plastic container with lid and handle from Pets at Home that is supposed to be for dried pet food. I can fit plain,SR, strong white and strong wholemeal in it. not wonderful because it doesn't fit in any cupboard so has to stay out but does for my needs.

the flour I use lots of (within 1 week max) stays in the paper bags with the tops rolled up.
flour that I use less often goes into a zip lock bag, paper bag included.

I keep mine in the freezer. Just try and spoil my flour now, weevils...

I've got big kilner style jars with all my dry baking ingredients in on a shelf in the kitchen. Estate agent that valued the house asked if it was all for show Hmm
