Definitely try a magic eraser, the frame isn't a permeable surface so in theory it should just rub off.

Is it hairspray that works on biro?

Just Googled and it works on fabric but not to sure on wood.
The magic erasers really are magic though.

Cif/Jif cream cleaner? White spirit? Might be a bit harsh though.

Well I just tried the hairspray trick and it did actually reduce it. So I'll try the magic eraser. Probably good to have one in stock anyway. Thanks all for replies x

I would also suggest a magic sponge. They are the dogs testicles.

Thankyou so much everyone that took the time to reply. I ordered a magic thingy of Amazon in the end as couldn't get to a shop. It still hasn't arrived so ALICE Thankyou so much because the nail varnish remover worked ! I only had the quickie pads so used those. I'm sure the eraser will help with other marks around the house, like the marks on the newly wallpapered hallway from a toy being bashed on it 😔 thanks again !
