School box

I saw a thread on here (which I obviously can't find now) that had a really fab idea on it about having a box of stuff to deal with school things. So envelopes to reply to letters, £1 coins for non uniform days and Bake sales, a pen, that kind of thing.

Does anyone else have one? What do you keep in yours?

I have exactly that and have posted about it before. A naice box with a pad of writing paper & envelopes for notes to the teacher (authorising another parent to do pick up etc), a pack of small thank you cards (only used one so far & DD now in Yr 2), small Tupperware pot with a stash of £1, 20p, 10p & 5p coins, money envelopes, roll of sticky labels, bull small bull dog clips, paper clips, stapler, elastic bands, a sharpie & 2 biros. I only need it a couple of times a month but I feel very smug when I do need it & have everything to hand.

In a cupboard in the kitchen I keep,
a tub of spare stationary that the kids might need or run out of including calculators,
A box with poppy pin badges for the week or so before Rememberance Sunday (still donate every year but the kids always loose the paper Poppys) and daffodil badges for St David's day (we are in Wales),
Tiny envelopes for snack money and bigger ones for notes to the teachers with a pad of paper,
A permanent marker, laundry marker, label maker and shoe labels,
Money bags with loose change in for fairs etc,
A couple of spare lunch bags the kind that fold up small,
A few boxes of chocs for donations/thank yous,
Mini shampoos for swimming, mini sun creams, packs of tissues,
Sewing kit is kept in there too,
stuck inside the door is a list with information on that always gets asked for when they go on trips eg dates of last tetanus, doctors phone number, DS's medication dosage, the school dinner menu with the kids top up numbers, and the school events calendars.

I also like to keep a few plain white t-shirts and leggings in various sizes, felt in different colours, card and a glue gun. These along with dye have served us well for various costumes.
