Anyone still loving their steam mop??

I followed the herd and bought a steam mop a couple of years ago - absolutely loved it but it died just out of warranty (Hoover, twin head £99!)

I'm in a different house and have a git of a kitchen floor that is uneven (quarry tiles) and hard work to mop (and never seems to come properly clean)

I want it sealing but want it very clean first - anyone's mop still going and would recommend??

I have a shark. It has a detachable steamer for grout etc. Plus mop head led which scrub as well as mop. It was about £100 last year from currys. I would definitely recommend.

I have a Vax one and I love it. Would hate to go back to wet mopping now.

Can you clean Karndean floors with one? Is there any danger of scolding yourself?

I love mine. I don't use all the gizmos for it as I find it a bit awkward and heavy but we have all hard flooring downstairs and it makes it so easy to whiz over the floors without getting any smearing marks as it dries so quickly and I sometimes grab the handheld bit to blast the base of the loo and the hinges of the loo seat (2 boys and a husband).

Nope got fed up of mine. It left the floor too wet and was only good for a quick once over. My kids make such a mess after dinner I would have to first scrub the floor. I now have gone back to a mop and once a month scrub on hands and knees.

I love my £40 vax. I don't use the attachments much, but the handheld on its own brings up chairs and the car seats really well!mostly it's worth it for how quick and easy It is to clean all my floors . They've never been so clean !

Gah, I was hoping for an overwhelming unanimous and positive verdict for one particular machine to alleviate my need to make a decision
Might stick with the elbow grease and mop bucket for now and chalk it up as a workout!

I am so over mine! I had one of those green H20 mops and the floor was never really spotless after going over it (I tested it once and the cloth was still quite mucky).

I have one of those Vileda wring and spin mops now and it must surely be the best mop ever. Well worth the money. Would never go back to steam.
