Hi. So we have these teeny, tiny insects in our shower every few months. They are about the size of a pin head and clear. I've captued one for a pic but too tiny! They walk around on the walls, 1-3 at a time. i can't tell if they are spiders or something else. Any ideas?

Try this insect killer spray it a couple of times when you see the insects that should clear them up.

Can you work out where they are coming from? Is there wood nearby?

Could they be mould mites? They are attracted to anywhere with damp or mould. Harmless but icky.

mrsfizzy thank you I have googled images and that's exactly what they are!! We recently found out that we had slow leak from under our bath so it makes sense!!!! Glad that's identified! Mumsnet saves the day again!

Ah glad you've identified them. We had them a couple of years ago. Also caused by a leak under the bath! Once we'd sorted out the damp and mould they seemed to disappear. A humidifier really helped. I called a pest control place at the time and the lovely guy said he could come over and spray the place if I really wanted him to but really the best option would be to just sort the damp and then they up sticks and leave on their own anyway.

I thought that they might be spiders or spidery enough to freak out arachnaphobs
