New Machine - Fabric Softner/Conditioner Instantly drains away.

So the landlord kindly bought us a new washing machine - a cheap old one from curries a LOGIK L612WM16. Neat little machine, but since its first wash I've noticed that the softner when poured into the compartment instantly drains away even after washing it out - I mean it's a brand new machine...... See picture for draw style. And I swear that the old one did this sometimes too but the washine came out smelling like the softner and was soft, this time with the new one it niether smell nice or was soft. My partner also complains that the ''stain remover/whitner'' isn't doing the job either - he works in a factory and his vests come back with sweat and dirt patches. We use Vanish oxy action and they still come out with stains etc but not as heavily before (usually put in half a scoop of the stuff). I don't know if I'm doing this wrong, but this is the first time I've used a machine as this is the first time I've lived alone with my partner and he's making me do the washing now XD.

Any advice would be nice..
Cheers.

you use too much softener.
there is a max-line in the compartment if you go over that it instantly drains.

No I mean as I'm pouring it in it just drains, it doesnt even fill enough to the max, both outside the blue compartment and inside it.

Are you using the right section? The fabric softener goes in the small, middle section. Detergent for the main wash goes in the section marked 2 (1 is pre-wash)

Have you got the manual for it or can you find it online? The fabric softener but might be adjustable in some way. If it's a cheap machine it might just not be very good.

I've looked in the manual and here is an image of the draw - I've put it into the top ? and into the bottom ? and they both do the same (also I know there is powder in there I've since washed it with some water.

Thanks

on second thought, maybe you need to take the blue thing off, clean it and put it back on.

in this link is an illustration on how the compartment works

Is your machine level? Tipped back slightly? Get a spirit level to check. If needs be then there are usually feet at front of machine which can be screwed in/out to level it properly.

PolterGoose - like i said earlier I have cleaned it so its not that.

HopeClearwater - when the guys came to install it they told me that they had to take the legs off in order to fit into the gap that we have there isnt any way or how I can get it out without breaking either myself or the machine, there isnt any room to fasten the legs back on anyway plus I dont own a spirit level - but I can say for a fact that who ever built this house didnt have one either as the walls and the rooms are diaganal or off-shape and that includes the floors too.

It looks like you've been putting the powder in to section 1 - it should go in to section 2 - that might help.

INeedSomeHelp - Are you referring to the washing powder? And section 2, the far right? I thought it goes into the first section as it's the largests therefore taking the most of it, and the second one is for things like stain remover or extra powder or something. At least that's what I thought I was reading in the manual?

Snow normally you would only put something in to section 1 (on the right as I look at your photo) if you were doing a pre-wash. The washing powder and any additional Vanish or stain remover should go in to Section 2 (on the left).
That's how it's been with any machine I've ever had anyway.

//INeedSomeHelp - I was told it was the other way around, the bigger compartment is for the normal detergent and the small one (on the right) was for other stuff or overflow. I'm really confused now.

ns323666.ip-37-187-156.eu/manuals/Logik%20Washing%20Machine/Logik%20L612WM13%20Washing%20Machine.pdf

found the manual of that mashine.
compartment II is for the normal wash, compartment I is for the pre-wash programmes. (same for any mashine I have ever used)

I'm sorry to do this but its Machine not Mashine XD

I have the manual I know what to actually put where but I'm mainly concerned as to how a week old washing machine is causing the softner to drain instantly, even with the power off, it just doesn't want to hold the liquid.

I would contact the manufacturer and ask for their advice. It could be a faulty machine.
