What's your favourite kitchen gadget?

Just mulling over what might make my life easier in the kitchen....

Can you recommend the gadgets that have been a revelation to you?

For example, my DC's have to have onions disguised in food so I grate them by hand (cue tears streaming down my face and the constant fear of grating my knuckles).

Also, my kitchen is south-facing and very hot so the days when the oven goes on nearly kill me!

My time at home is being drastically cut back come September too so I'd value your opinions!

TIA.

My Kenwood Chef. I did have a 30 year old one which is still going strong, but the balloon whisk suddenly started shedding its coating. Then my parents kindly bought me a Kenwood Chef Titanium 030 and it is just beautiful.

Also, my Instant Pot 7-in-1 electric pressure cooker is incredibly versatile and time saving.

Re the kitchen, how about solar film on the windows?

I've got a medium sized food processor which can mix, chop, grate, etc - very handy.

Black out blinds for the windows!

Do you have a slow cooker ? They're great for days where you need to eat but don't want the heat of the oven.

I love my spiralizer, even veg refusing dh is eating carrot and courgette noodlesGrin

My nutrininja, it's amazing

You could just use that to finely slice / purée onions instead of grating them, will do it in about 2 seconds!

I love my KitchenAid more than anything else on my kitchen. It meant I could get rid of the bread machine, the electric beaters, the potato ricer, and I can't remember what else. Did I mention that I love it?

I have a Kenwood chef but only use it for baking - what else could I use it for - would love to get more use put of it

I love my slow cooker - very handy and use it for joints of meat, soup, stews. I don't like mince dinners from it

Wobbly do you have the food processor attachment? You can grate/slice/julienne. The mincer is very good. In coveting the pasta attachment atm.

Kenwood food processor same as mariesmith and slow cooker.

The food processor chops veg into tiny bits to be hidden in sauces in seconds.
