Gunk in the drainage hose

After reading the instruction manual, I have unclipped the dishwasher drainage hose and discovered a serious gunk issue. Some of it has been coaxed out using hot water and soda crystals but there is still a significant amount at the end of the hose that connects with the machine. Can I use sink unblocker products?

Does it connect to the waste trap under the sink?

Is the blockage congealed bacon fat?

Show us a picture of the route the hose takes and how it connects please.

Thanks for the interest but I managed to clear it. I unclipped the hose from under the sink and using a combination of boiling water, soda crystals, a garden cane and some choice words..the dishwasher is running perfectly now xx

the relevance of the hose route is that if not correct, detritus from the kitchen sink runs into the hose.
