Can anyone recommend a non toxic home fragrance that's safe for kids to inhale? I used to use plug ins before ds came along but I worry about him breathing them in so wondered if there was something else. What about wax melts? Someone is trying to sell me scentsy which sound great but very expensive for the warmer x

These. She restocks every Friday at 7pm, click the i button by a fragrance for a description. I adore wax melts and I won't use any others, these are strong and very true to scent

I love the Yankee candle wax tarts or something there called much better than candles that cost a fortune

Do you have to use a candle to melt them it is there a battery/electric heating system you can get? I'm looking for natural home fragrance too, tried making reed diffuser out of essential oils but didn't last or linger. Also worried about essential oils around babies....

I use a tea light to melt mine but you can buy electric burners

Plug in type air fragrances can leave a mess around them after long term use if the area is not regularly cleaned.

There's nothing like fresh air if you have access to it!

Agree with brodchengretchen re fresh air- nothing better than just opening windows.
And I've recently started using Method natural cleaning products, and they leave a nice, non-chemically fragrance (tried them due to similar concerns about toxic products).

I also use the Yankee candle wax tarts, they smell much better than the jar candles

I use Neom Organics. Lovely scents but they don't linger very long but nice when lit/sprayed depending on if you prefer the candle or the spray.

I would love my house to smell fresher and generally nicer but everything I've tried seems to make me feel sick. Don't know why. I'm the same with perfumes. I've found one that doesn't and have to just stick to that.
Anyone find the same?

I've recently started using homemade lavender spray (lavender essential oil, witch hazel, distilled water) and like how that smells (and like that I know what's gone into it!)

Hey,

I brought this lovely jasmine scented home fragrance and i love it. I have two kids myself so i am very particular when it comes to buying home fragrances, however this one is non toxic so it's perfect.

I have stopped burning paraffin based candles because of the chemical nasties and Ive always assumed that melting the little wax tartlet things is just the same as burning candles?

Recently I got an essential oil diffuser like this one and I love it. You fill it with water, add drops of essential oils (I love a mix of cinnamon bark and sweet orange, and my other favourite is bergamot with just a couple of drops of lavender,) and it uses ultrasonic waves to create a stream of scented mist. It's fab. Pure essential oils have no ill effects on health, infact they can be very beneficial...lavender is great for anxiety, eucalyptus is great if you're full of cold etc.

So many people have commented on my lovely little diffuser and I love the way it's so easy to change the scents. Definitely worth a try.

Can't you just open the windows instead? I am not really a fan of artificial room fragrances.
