QUICK - Primark towels

I'm going to Primark today and thinking of getting some towels.

Total waste of money?

Or not bad for cheap towels?

I bought their premium face cloths recently and rate them better than my M&S ones. Super cheap and well worth it IMO

I bought some when I was going into hospital to give birth as I didn't care what happened to them. 4 years on, they have turned out to be better than many of my more expensive towels. I didn't buy their cheapest ones, I think they were mid range.

Wow. That's kind of made my day . I haven't bought new towels in years, I'm now looking forward to my new cheap towels buzz.

I got a very cheap one for going in to hospital to have dd2. It has out lived my much more expensive ones. Dd2 has just turned 7.

Three amazing reviews is good enough for me. If you have anything bad to say about Primark towels now, please keep it to yourself. I will not have this thread (and my day) ruined.

Amazing. I'm going on a special trip to Primary this week for new towels. I won't buy them anywhere else now. They equal my John Lewis and I prefer them to my m&'s ones.

There 100% cotton pillow cases are fab too.

ApocalypseSlough YES! I know cheap towels won't make up for any of that other sad stuff going on, but that's out of my control. Good cheap towels is only a tube ride away.

MyLlamasGoneBananas OH MY GOD I need pillow cases too! This is too much.

Anything else I should buy while I'm there?

I do need actual pillows too but it will be a bit of a faff to carry home.

I need a sports bra but the problem with Primark is that they don't let you try the bras on.

I had an arguement with the male store manager about that once. I told him that no-one knows their bra size for every bra out there, you have to try them on. The young lad clearly wished he wasn't having that conversation.

Primark towels are very good, they have lasted better than ridiculous priced things that I had from Selfridges (I think one of the old towels cost more than a whole set of Primark new ones) I won't bother buying them anywhere else now. The only warning is if you are buying a colour make sure you buy enough as the do discontinue colours quite a bit which is annoying if you didn't buy enough in the first place

I bought a massive primark bathsheet for my hospital bag when 7year old DS was born. It's still going strong, in fact it's DH fave towel!

If you're going to Primark (or Penney's as we call it over here), here are a few things that you might be interested in buying:

- Make-up for under €5

New PS Pro makeup range

I really like the scented candles and cushions that Primark does and they have really lovely throws/blankets that are so cosy.

I need a sports bra but the problem with Primark is that they don't let you try the bras on.

I tried maternity bras on in primary and nobody said a thing. Maybe they were too frightened to argue with a pregnant hormonal woman Grin

When I moved out in 1997 my mother gave me some old Primark towels she had....we still use them now. In fact, my MIL was saying last week how good they are lol.

Well, I got my happiness towels. Only thing is, the labels on them say wash at 40....I thought washing towels at 60 was standard?

Also got some pjs for me and DS and a few bits and bobs. Those packets of coconut flakes they sell by the counter are DELISH by the way.

Oh...maybe they've changed the bra trying on rule? I like to think it was because I embarrassed the store manager who begged for them to change the rule.

I didn't have a chance to look at the make-up WhatchaMaCalllit, always thought it was a bit shit but will look out for it next time. But I did notice the lovely cushions and cosy throws. Wish I'd bought a couple of the cushions now actually but I had a lot to carry and was going on the tube.

I definitely have Primark towels from 10 years ago. They're great. I also like their bedding, but I have recently discovered that I like Asda bedding more.

All my towels go in at 90, I wouldn't worry.

6 years and counting here.

Definitely better than m&s ones I was gifted which were threadbare in a year!

Also love the bedding candles throws...

I love primark

I've washed my primark twirls at 90. Still great.

I bought some towels this week and can confirm they do un... So wash them alone for the first few times!

Also got some copper shaped battery operated lights to go around ds's bed, and some new curtains for him. I love their home department. Had a shower curtain from there for over 2 years now, normally I used to have to throw them away but its a silver, grey and black geo design and after a wash its back to brand new. Smile
