Miele 120 Washing Machine - Hygiene Info Banner

I know that there are some Miele 120 washing machine owners on this forum, and I would be grateful for some advice. We have had our Miele washing machine for a couple of months. After about a month of use, the Hygiene Info banner came on. We read the user manual and ran a Maintenance Wash but the banner re-appeared at the end of the cycle, and after subsequent washes. My husband managed to get the banner to go away by disconnecting the machine from the mains for about 30 minutes.

We are still confused by the sentence at the bottom of the Table on Page 67 of the user guide which states:

Quote: The messages will appear at the end of the programme AND when the washing machine is switched on and need to be confirmed with the OK sensor Unquote

We have never seen a message at the beginning of the cycle. Are we wrong to assume that if the Hygiene Info banner appears at the end of the wash, it should appear at the start of the next cycle as a reminder? We are just trying to work out whether we have just had a glitch or whether there is a firmware fault with our machine? Thanks for any help.

Hello!
Our Miele does this if its not been used on a really hot wash for a while, its a reminder for you to do a maintenance cycle to stop it gunking up, ours shows it at the end of the cycle.
It does it every 6 months say, I usually do hot washes anyway so it rarely shows up.
