turkish hammam towels?

My bath towels are ancient and dropping to bits; I normally go for the thick pile ones but am struggling to dry them at the minute as ds & dd seems to like using one each every day and soaking them. I dislike tumble dried towels so am looking for another option

I read about hammam towels and fancy trying one; might take a bit of getting used to after always having thick terry ones but they look like they would dry in no time. Ds has started playing rugby at school so would be good to bung one in his kit bag

Does anyone use them on here; seller recommendations please Smile

You can buy them on Amazon and eBay and TKMaxx/Homesense seem to have them in fairly regularly though in small numbers. There's a UK company called Towan that sell some really good quality ones - I'm not connected in any way, but they are the best quality I've seen. I like terry towels best, but in hot weather or if you are having to carry a towel around pestemel or hamman towels are great.

I love a tumble dried terry towel, but each to their own!

I got a couple in the summer
It feels funny at first, like wrapping a big tea towel around you but my kids love them and will pick them over traditional towels
They dry really quickly too

Yes, they're great for swimming trips too as a lot less bulky. I plan on taking ours to a festival next year for the same reason.
