study room for teenager

Hi need some help our teenage lad is 15 +needs space to revise for exams that's the idea! old spare room has bed desk +shelves he needs to be organized +wondered how we can achieve this instead instead of books dumped in piles over the desk.he needs proper system&don't know what to buy

You could get him a comfortable office chair for the desk and an angle poise lamp so that he doesn't get eye strain.

If there are already shelves in the room, I'd get him to allocate different things to different shelves.Have one shelf that holds all the work he will revise that day - so all text and exercise books and loose files go on that either the night before or first thing in the morning. One shelf of reference books and another to keep all the subjects he's not working on that day.

Maybe also put up a pinboard or magnetic board above the desk for revision/homework timetables, periodic table etc. And a desk tidy well stocked with pens, pencils, highlighters, glue sticks and rulers.

Just repainted wall to spruce it up +rearranged shelving
Looks good now for the teenager to revise!
