Used to do one of these each week but I have become a lazy lazy slob it would seem!

Anyone care to join me with lists and motivation?

Can I join? I managed to do all the clothes washing yesterday.

Today's jobs are:
Strip beds and wash bedding
Clean kitchen
Hoover the stairs and upstairs
Sweep and mop floors downstairs
Put yesterday's washing away
Iron uniforms
Clean downstairs bathroom
Dust downstairs
Cook a roast
Re-make all 6 beds.

Two beds have been stripped and bedding is in the washer and the chicken is nicely defrosted. That's as far as I have got this morning. It's given me motivation having written it all down though so whilst dd1 entertains the baby I'll make a start on cleaning the kitchen and sorting the clean washing...I'll report back when I'm done.

Shock thats a huge list Kim! And to cook a roast dinner on top of all that. You must be supermum or naive to think you can get that all done today Wink

Strip the beds and put in washing machine done

It is a big list penguin but it'll get done, it has to!

Okay, clean washing put away, uniforms put to one side to iron, other beds are now stripped. All 6 beds re-made. I got distracted Re-making the beds so haven't done the kitchen yet. I'm going to have a quick shower then crack on with the rest. The baby is asleep now and will be for a good 1.5 hours so I should hopefully get most jobs done before she wakes. Wish me luck!

I've got a wash on; then had to build a marble run; now getting the youngest down for a nap so I can get cracking. Not much progress so far...

Right, I'm showered, the second load of bed covers is in the wash, first load in the dryer, kitchen cleaned, floors swept and mopped, uniforms ironed. Just waiting for floors to dry then I can clean the downstairs loo and dust the living room.

All I have to do then is wait for baby to wake up to do the hoovering then cook a roast ready for 5pm. Yay!

I did notice that a button has come off one of dd2's school cardigans so I'll have to sew that back on too and I still need to dry my hair after my shower but I'll do then later when I can be bothered.

I'm dying for a drink but the floors are wet so I can't go and get one - I didn't think this through properly did I...?

Impressive progress Kim Smile Someone seriously needs to invent a quick drying floor cleaning solution. The world is crying out for it!

Oh yeah i have since wiped over the bathroom and put bleach down the loo.

Thankfully my to do list is very short:

  1. Gut entire house

I should really get out of bed and do something about it. I keep having grand plans of gutting each room in turn and ending up with a clutter-free domestic haven. It is good to have dreams Grin

Floors dried (I opened all the windows to speed it up a bit), living room dusted, loo cleaned and I've now got a drink and have my sewing kit out to sort this button. Baby is still asleep do still can't do the hoovering.

Oh god I'm seriously procrastinating this morning. I've got some laundry drying and just put another load in but that's it.
Gimme some motivation!

My bathroom is disgusting, I'm not sure I can actually get clean in it anymore. I need to clean it.

Kim82 · 20/09/2015 12:15

Woohoo, I'm done! I sewed the button on and dried my hair and right on cue the baby woke up so I could do the hoovering. Just the roast to do but that's not til later.

Dh has just texted me after his weekend away and said he's at his parents and asked if I'd pick him up from there so looks like I'm getting everyone sorted and going to the inlaws for a couple of hours. Lucky me!

Well done Penguin! Another to do list finished.

I'm back from the inlaws now and have folded the dry bedding and put it away and the last lot is in the dryer.

I'm having a nice, hot cup of tea and relaxing for half an hour before I start the roast. Dh is on duty with the kids now he's back so I can sit and relax. Bliss!

I found this quite useful yesterday for motivation. Are we carrying this on again today? Rubbish weather down here so gonna be indoors anyway.

Report
Kim82 · 21/09/2015 08:46

I found it really useful too so I'm up for doing it again today although I don't have as many things to do.

Today's jobs are:
Wash up breakfast dishes and clean kitchen
Clean out cat litter tray
Do a load of dark washing
Clean upstairs bathroom and mop floor
Go to the uniform shop for pe plimsolls for dd2 and a jumper for dd1
Tidy the living room a thousand times after dd3 trashes it!
Take meatballs out the freezer for tea.

I think that's it for today. I'm having a cup of tea before I move this morning though after an awful night with dd3 waking too many times to count!
