Kids toy storage (not ikea)

Any suggestions? We can't get to an ikea and the delivery prices are astonishing. Everthing else I've seen I have liked is so £££ compared to kallax and trofast.

Whay do you have that works? Dds are 2.5 and 4.5 we have some toy chests but they're pretty useless for anything thats in a set as it's impossible to keep the bits together. Everything else is on bookshelves atm but it doesn't seem to work too well. Plus I'm fed up of bloody teddies we have a toybox full of them which dd's occasionally ask for and I'd feel terrible about getting rid of them.

Teddies are in a laundry bag.
Big toys in a toy chest
Sets are in biscuit Tupperware boxes
Books are in an old kitchen drawer that lives on the toy chest

Oh I like the laundry bag idea we could keep it on the end of the bunk beds. Where do you keep the tuppaware once they're full though do you have a shelf or unit to keep them in?

We also have big thing such as pushchairs x2 and a baby highchair that I struggle to 'store'.

They are stacked on the toy box as they have lids.
We have high chair at the table and the real chair from that space in our bedroom.
The prams (two single and double) live in the kitchen or bathroom mostly. I guess the boots of the cars would be the best place if you don't have room indoors.

Is there any expedit/ kallax on ebay you could get? It is pretty much perfect for toy storage.

That or plan a massive road trip...

We use these and things with small pieces like blocks go in their own cotton bags with tie tops (I reuse things like the bags that handbags come in).

Also I had a carpenter build some wall shelves to the same dimensions as the expedit inserts, so some stuff goes in those on the wall shelves.

Look on the Argos website - loads of shelving options, sale on and delivery much more reasonable.

A friend with four kids recommended clear plastic storage boxes.

It works really well for us because you can easily see what's what. Sets of toys are kept inside material bags that are tied up at the handles . Usually we get them from the pound shop. They take up less space than more boxes.

Also, I keep most toys away and only have one basket out at a time. Keeps it interesting and saves the mess.
