Hi all we are packed and ready to move to new home! I attempted (as best I could with toddler and nb) to label boxes well etc but I was wondering if you could share some unpacking tips?

Unpack your kitchen stuff onto a table - dining table even in a different room is perfect and preferable to filling the kitchen, with nowhere to put anything and not getting organised. Then you can see what you've got and work out where best to put it all for the layout.

Planning is key. Make sure you have a think about where each item of furniture will go. This will save time wasting with moving items around. I found it helpful to have a couple of people unloading the van and then a couple unpacking.

Do it quickly and unpack everything, if you leave boxes in the shed/loft/garage for much longer than a week or two you'll never unpack them, although this does save on packing next time you move!
