How do you store your dishcloth/scourer etc?

Mine always end up being tucked behind the taps and I hate it!

Does anyone have any handy storage ideas for them? Don't want to be shoving them in a cupboard when they're wet.

I use 3 or four cotton cloths a day, the ones used wet to wipe down surfaces. I use one during cooking and clear up after a meal. They go straight into the washing machine when I am finished and wait for the next load. I don't store them. They are small and easy to wash and dry.

We have a little pot thing that we bought from John Lewis. It stands next to the sink and holds a scourer, cloth, brush and a bottle of washing up liquid

In the rarely used washing up bowl under the sink. I have almost nothing on display in my kitchen.

fussychica- doesn't that make cooking difficult? having to bring out all the essential stuff every time you cook?

I put it in the dishwasher a couple of times a week. Works well.

I didn't say I did any cookingGrin. No I do. It's a very small kitchen which I recently had redone in a minimilist style and I try to keep it as clutter free as possible. I have a kettle and matching toaster out plus a glass chopping board and glass teapot and that's pretty much it.

I don't have a dishcloth. I use paper towels and a spray bottle.

Over the tap, neatly folded.

I have a chrome mesh sink tidy thing. Washing up liquid, hand soap and hand cream go on top shelf, scourer and sponges go on bottom shelf and dishwashing brush is stored upright in the slots between the grids. Just tried to find one online to link to it and they seem to not exist any more. Weird.

I keep one sponge next to the cold tap and one next to the hot tap, for dishes and surfaces respectively. I chuck and replace them every few days or once a week if I'm particularly slack. I used to replace them daily.

We use a metal Ikea cutlery holder.

Brush stands in it with bristles in the air, cloth over the edge, scourer inside it. It goes in the dishwasher regularly to keep it clean.
