Which slow cooker? Crockpot or Sear & Stew?

Possibly not the most appropriate question given the forecast for this weekend but which slow cooker should I buy? I had thought of getting a Crockpot but then came across the Sear & Stew which seems to have the advantage of being able to put the inner pot bit on the hob. Is this as useful as I think it would be? Both seem to get good reviews.

I love my sear and stew. really handy to be able to use it on the stove

and has advantage of not being breakable

I've always been wary of putting the crockpot on the hob in case it cracks. I'd go for the one where you can do both, if you can.

It means you can brown the meat first, if you need to. Without using an extra pot. And keeping the flavour bits ins.
