wet wipe handprint on farrow and ball oainted wall

i wiped my toddlers hand and he placed it on our green walls and its let an oil type mark. can it be removed without taking the paint off or repainting?

Magic eraser gets everything off, i have used it for the same thing

Be careful with magic eraser as they are abrasive.

Is it F&B modern emulsion? If so it is washable so I would try wiping the marked area down with warm, soapy water and leaving it to dry. If the mark hasn't gone, you could try painting the area using a small roller and ensuring you blend the edges of the paint outwards so the freshly painted area doesn't show against the rest of the wall.

Might be worth using a damp J-cloth for wiping small hands in future.

I'd buy a tester pot for £5 & roller over it. Pour the paint into a tray, you won't need much & keep the rest in the tin for next time.

Do try washing it down before you paint though in case there is residue which could come through paint applied over the top.
