Tell me why you love your steam cleaner

I got one yesterday and I'm abit disappointed, its good for my floors but that's about it. I used it on my windows but it does the same job as soap and water, also used it on the oven which didn't do anything.

Which brand have you got? I have only just got the Morphy Richards 9 in 1 steam cleaner after spending months debating whether or not to get one. Used it for the first time last night, to clean the cubby hole, used it on the floor and then the hand held part for round the skirting boards and in the corners, did a good job and was easy enough to assemble and then use. I have yet to use it round the rest of the flat but so far so good. I am wary of using it on the windows though as it states not to use on very cold glass or it could crack so I may stick with the window cloth for that. I shall use it periodically for the fiddly jobs (ie cleaning the cooker etc) but will use it for the floors every week, much easier than an ordinary mop.

What don't I use it for??? Granite work tops look amazing, cleaning products always seem to leave a film but with the steam cleaner they're so smooth and shiny - gas hob - oven door - wall tiles in the kitchen and bathroom - round the taps - sinks/washbasins (if you point the steamer into the drain it will clean the pipe work) - toilet seat and inside the toilet pan (as a sanitizer) - shower tray and cubicle to get rid of black mould/soap scum - I'm sure there's other things too!

I love mine. I use it for...

Floors
Tiles
Dishwasher (under the door and around the seals)
oven & hob
Refresh the carpets/rugs/curtains
toilets/baths/showers/sinks/plugholes
front door step!
It's also great if you accidently splash paint on doors and floors
