Had catalytic ovens since 1988 and cleaning not an issue - fat splashes etc just burn off panels in normal cooking, no smoke, no heat, no issue. Now there are pyrolytic ovens which need insane heating to 500C for an hour or 2 to clean. Surely the next thing the EC will ban?
Anyway what do pyrolytics do that catalytics don't - apart from keeping the electrickery companies in profit?
