Oven gloves
(11 Posts)After watching my mum last night taking hot dishes out of the oven using £4 oven gloves from Asda and almost dropping them I have promised her the best heat proof oven gloves for Christmas.
Ummm anyone got any recommendations?
Lakeland do some that while not pretty (no pattern at all) are very well insulated and washable. Cost about £10.

Lakeland "Cool Hand" oven gloves are very similar to the ones I have and they are the best I have ever used. For a start they are actually gloves rather than mitts which makes it much easier to get hold of things but more important they are very, very insulated. I can't recommend them highly enough.
Thank you all. Off to google now.
These are very good, I bought a pair after I set my old oven gloves alight by dipping the middle bit in the gas hob.

I just bought a great new pair from 'tiger'
Which have a silicone pad on the palm.
Lakeland steam-stop. Brilliant.

I got some silicon ones from Asda. They are amazing and weren't expensive either.
