Alternative to Finish ones please.

But still work!

SleepyMcgee Fri 14-Nov-14 13:39:55

I'd definitely recommend the Aldi ones

Asda and sainsburys did the job

WrappedInABlankie Fri 14-Nov-14 13:43:04

Asda - 30 tablets about £1.60 and work really well! Never had to wash anything again bar the time I cremated cheese to a dish blush I couldn't chisel off blush As well as the dishwasher cleaner hth

The Lidl ones are very good.

Living Social often have really good deals on finish DW tabs. I got 100 for £10 a few months ago. Also eBay do them at good prices

hedwig2001 Fri 14-Nov-14 14:07:19

Tesco essentials ones are great.

Another vote for Aldi dishwasher tabs. I've found the Finish ones seem to strip the colour from crockery and I once bought some Fairy ones on special offer and the perfume in those tainted everything plastic or silicone, so never again.

Asda own brand (not smart price). Best tablets by a mile.

Thanks for the recommendations.

Looks like supermarket's own are ones to try.

Wilkinsons - 30 tabs, salt and rinse aid for a fiver.

Tesco essential won a Which award

Daisy POWDER from tescos. Chuck it in the bottom of the machine and it gets to work straightaway.

Finish still test on animals.

Lidl ones work great, I sometimes use half a tablet when the box is running low and they still work fine.

Another vote for Lidl. £3.00 something for a box of 60 and they do the job. Great value.

Tesco have sent a voucher for their all in one tablets. So will give them a bash. Not literally.

OneSkinnyChip Sat 15-Nov-14 18:10:52

I will fly in the face of this thread and say stick to Finish or Fairy. DH got Lidl ones and over a few weeks our dishwasher began to stink. We went back to Finish.

I've not subscribed to 'Which' for a few years, but Aldi ones certainly always used to come out top in their tests (that's before they even added in the cost saving).

AWombWithoutAFoof Sat 15-Nov-14 18:20:18

Persil are good.

applecatchers36 Sat 15-Nov-14 18:22:12

Lidls are great value and as good as leading brands

TheAlias Sat 15-Nov-14 18:29:19

Another vote for Lidl, we don't have an Aldi, so I have no experience there but they're supposed to be very good too.

IMO the Lidl ones are equivalent price to the "value" offering from the other supermarkets but are as good as the premium brands, which the value ones aren't

MegMogandOwlToo Sun 16-Nov-14 22:29:05

Tesco, the cheapest ones they sell. £1.30 for a box of 32 I think - they are great, and a bargain!

chockbic Sun 16-Nov-14 22:48:25

Are they the all in one tablets?

PrimalLass Sun 16-Nov-14 23:00:52

Fairy. I like it that they don't have to be unwrapped.

OneSkinnyChip Sun 16-Nov-14 23:10:00

Chockbic I am sounding like a mad, paranoid person here and I promise I don't have any agenda here but take care with the Lidl ones if your dishwasher is used to Finish / Fairy. Because our dishwasher got so rotten after using them for about 3-4 weeks and at one stage I thought we were going to have to dump it. It took about a week to remove the horrible eggy smell - a week of running empty hot cycles with powder / salt / rinse aid and then Finish tablets.

I don't have shares in Finish! I was just so lost without my dishwasher that I would rather pay more for the peace of mind! It may be a quirk of our dishwasher btw but I will never take the chance again.
