A good dry cleaner may be able to do it, you have to point out the mark, say what it is, and ask them to try.

They have a variety of treatments for stains, it is individual hand work before the garment gets thrown in the big machine.

White spirit on a cloth is usually the best way to get oil based paint off. Is it a small amount or over a large area?

It's a fine but long streak on the shoulder / top of arm on one
side. Quite noticeable as a result Thought about white spirit but worried it'll take colour out and / or damage waterproof-ness of jacket. Might try a less obvious area first and investigate dry cleaners if no luck.
It's a really expensive jacket that DH got with vouchers he won in a sports event. He's gutted!

White spirit does not remove paint once it has dried and hardened.

This stain devil may work.

If you have any surgical spirit available you could try that. If you use anything volatile (like white spirit) you may wish to ventilate the jacket outside until the smell fades.

I assumed this happened today. Is the paint dry?

The paint's dry. it must have happened last weekend but he doesn't wear the jacket daily so we only noticed it today.
