washing machine dilema

Koumak · 01/08/2014 14:49

so long story short I had fab panasonic 1600 spin, 8kg, really smart and SUPER quiet, good looking etc. friends were jealous kind of washing machine. i recommended it to everyone. 3 and half years in. fault. under 6 year warranty but awful service from repair people, complained to manufacturer and got my free replacement or refund. going to take the refund as not sure i trust the service people, but happy with the machine (till it broke of course! lol) and the service from them now they sorting my complaint out.
NOW i am looking at something that is superbly silent really, smart, and not Miele as cannot afford it and anything that is pref less than £750.
And lesson learnt will require 5 year guarantee at least.
found these on JL.
which one would you go? and why?
i like them coz of apparently low noise level, drum size, high spin, functions, and the slight chrome look about them etc. and reviews of course!
which one?
help please. whoever could be arsed bothered. thank you very much! ;-)

It's very quiet. I love it. 60cm wide. I bought it from John Lewis and it came with a 5 year warranty. Have had it a year now and still can't believe how much washing I can get done in it. DH, kids and I play a lot of sport so lots of washing every week.

Also it has a 15min quick wash which is great.

Correction. I bought it from Boots Electrical which uses Aplliances on Line. Paid £731 and they were offering £100 cash back.ordered it at 6pm on Saturday and they delivered and fitted it by 11am Sunday morning.

I got the 9kg ecobubble a couple of weeks ago and am quite happy with it. came with a 2 year guarantee that you could upgrade to 5 years. Got it from appliances online-free next day delivery. You can pay extra for them to take the old one away and/or connect the new one.

thank you ilovepowerhoop can I ask why did you go for this one especially?

it had a big drum, 1600 spin speed, speed wash options and a good energy rating. Seemed to get good reviews too.

before, i get it, neither of you work for samsung, right?! Grin
i am keen on the either the 8 or 9 kg one, for some reason JL has the 9kg cheaper than 8 but not available online, so have to give them a call.
the 5 year warranty will be a deal breaker for me and whether they can delivery asap
thank you both for your input!

appliances online have the 9kg for £563 (a bit gutted as I paid £582 for it on the 17th June!!). ao.com/product/WF90F7E6U6W-Samsung-Ecobubble-VRT-Washing-Machine-White-26966.aspx. If you order it today from them you could get it tomorrow for £9.99 or Sunday for Free. It comes with 2 years free guarantee and then when you get it you register online to upgrade to 5 years.

www.samsung.com/uk/homeappliancewarranty/ - shows the eligible products for the 5 year warranty.

And no, I do not work for Samsung!

i have looked on this website already, but it says that this model is not included in the Q&A section? i better go and read the small print
thank you for the links!

it is included as I bought it and have registered for the guarantee - if you read the 5 year guarantee link then that model is included. It is a recent promotion though so maybe the question in the Q&A was from before the promotion started.

ilovepowerhoop · 01/08/2014 22:12

from the samsung link of the products included:

9kg ECOBUBBLEâ„¢ WASHING MACHINE
WF90F7E6U6W3EU - this is the 9kg machine I bought
WF906U4SAWQ3EU
WW90H7410EW/EU
WF90F5E5U4W/EU

Report
Koumak · 01/08/2014 22:17

yes it does make sense that it should be included, so i suppose the "the number one contributer" has no idea! lol
thank you. I will order now!

the question was answered 9 months ago and the promotion only started In June 2014 so wasnt running at that time so the answer was correct at the time.

the 5 year guarantee was a factor for me buying it too Smile

As you may have seen on the other washing machine thread, my Samsung Eco Bubble 12kg completely broke after 7 months :(

After 5 engineer visits, Samsung refunded me.

I have an LG 12kg one now, it's good but unsure if it's excellent.

Oh, also I got the £100 cash back offer from Samsung, however, that was a promotion that ended on 31st May 2013. Hope that helps.

I definitely don't work for Samsung. I just love my machine. I have 3 DC and sadly I have a ridiculous amount of washing every day/week. I hate seeing washing in the laundry basket. I think with a 5 year guarantee its almost ad good as a Miele. Half the price (almost!) for half the guarantee. My DH and I both think if it goes wrong after 5 years we can either buy an extended warrantee or washing fairies might be invented by the who make the whole job easier.

e1y1 oh know, i am sorry to hear that! and late. I have ordered mine now :(
fingers crossed mine wont break! i got the 9kg one in the end, should be arriving tomorrow. I really hope i get at least the 5 years out of it, MUST remember to register the guarantee! anything over the warranty will be a bonus. especially as i just got a refund on my panasonic one, that i loved but unfortunately stupid repair people cost panasonic the original price of 648 (that wasnt cheap 3 and half years ago) and lost a customer too.
