I am in the market for a powerful handheld vac. Do you have any recommendations? I see from past threads that dyson handhelds were well rated. Are there any others I should be looking at?

I have a dyson one and it's fab.

Miele. Wouldn't buy another dyson

Does miele do a handheld? I have a miele cats and dogs, but I haven't seen a miele handheld. I prefer miele too.

This is the dyson handheld we have

It's handy for vaccum up the crumbs DD leaves everywhere.

I loved my handheld dysons for how powerful they were. But they both packed up quite quickly. Don't think they were good value.

Following this thread!

Hmm tempted by dyson but the self destructing issues are a worry. Which miele do you have suzietwo?

I've got a vax gator and it's impressed me so far. Got on basis of recommendations on other threads.

Vax gator is a contender too. Is it powerful enough to pick up dust from carpets?

I have this one. I don't use any other vacuum at all now as it's as powerful as my old full size. It does need maintenance - filter cleaning etc - but have had it for ages. They are pricey though (we use family members employee discount so didn't pay full price).

Just got the Lakeland chilli and on first inspection it seems really fab.

We like it much more than the dyson handhelds we had.

Have had Dyson 34 handheld for 2 weeks and delighted so far. Got it with Tesco vouchers Boost so only cost £3 cash!
