its a 9 in 1 steam mop and it is the most fun ive had cleaning in ages! my home is now hygienically mean feat with dogs, cats, rats, kids....

its this one

its fab.
its got emulsion of window frames, the cupboard fronts were so easy it was a joy, the hob, the stainless steel splashback, the fridge, the floors, the tiles, the shower door.....all sparkling and done in seconds.

it was a cleaning revelation.
im now addicted to steaming stuff....including my thumb...which is dont recommend cos that hurts.

the reviews are not wrong on this one....
(morphy richards - commission please!)

BOFster Sun 25-May-14 02:19:21

Fucking hell, I really need to switch 1-click ordering off grin

Only today I was down on my hands and knees cursing as I cleaned the bath and shower and all the blasted bathroom tiles. A steam cleaner would probably have done the job in a few minutes. As it is, I lost an hour of my life that I will never get back.

I also think there must be a better way to clean the inside of a microwave than causing an explosion while boiling vinegar in an eggcup (trying out a Pinterest recommendation on taking chewing gum out of a t-shirt using boiled vinegar.)

I've got that one! It's ace!

sillymillyb Sun 25-May-14 07:26:45

I'm moving house next week and SO excited about cleaning it with this bad boy.... It's my house warming present to myself grin

Kerberos Sun 25-May-14 07:31:19

Thank you. I've been looking for a recommendation for one of these. Just ordered smile

FruVikingessOla Sun 25-May-14 07:36:31

I'm about to take the plunge with a steam mop too. Thanks for the recommendation, Vicar.

aliciagardner Sun 25-May-14 07:42:49

I just ordered it too. Amazon will be wondering what's going on! Have been looking for a steam mop for a while. Fingers crossed it can get the nasty black marks from the bathroom grout!

ggirl Sun 25-May-14 07:49:49

I already have a steam mop but want the hand held part ..can't justify £58. Any hand held steam cleaner recommendations?

Fathertedfan Sun 25-May-14 07:51:42

Got this one too. It's wonderful. Comes with two pads for the bottom, so one in the wash and a fresh one for each clean. Gets glued on dog food off the kitchen floor. Easy to clip off the water reservoir and refill. Love it.

Bluestocking Sun 25-May-14 07:55:01

Thanks, I've been meaning to get a steam mop for ages, have just ordered!

MrsPnut Sun 25-May-14 07:57:15

I've got that one too, it's amazing. I'm going to get Oh to clean the oven with it today.

kinkymouse Sun 25-May-14 08:04:54

How wet does it leave hard floor?

I had one years ago and hated when I cleaned the kitchen floor it was almost puddled and took ages to dry.

Did I just buy a lemon?

Peekingduck Sun 25-May-14 09:04:24

Can you use that one for steaming clothes? I'm trying to find a good steamer for fabrics.

StillStayingClassySanDiego Sun 25-May-14 09:10:02

I've not had a steam mop before, are they really worth it?

I'm a bit of a slattern around the house, will it change my life attitude

thekitchenfairy Sun 25-May-14 09:33:34

Is the handheld bit any good? Really heavy? Seriously considering a steam cleaner to sort out the dreadful state of our oven... Self cleaning programme seems to have just welded on a winters worth of meat fat ... Quite shameful and disgusting and I need a solution!

McButtonwillow Sun 25-May-14 10:10:57

Ooh I'm tempted. Can you use it on laminate?

Doingakatereddy Sun 25-May-14 10:20:17

You should be on commission vicar, I've just ordered one too! Was looking for a recommendation!

Birdsgottafly Sun 25-May-14 10:27:20

How harsh are they?

If you have Lino/cushion floor and cheaper kitchen cupboard, would it take the glue off?

I lent my Mums hand held to do my cooker and my teens loved using it, so total result all round.

cathyandclaire Sun 25-May-14 10:30:43

Ooooh, tell me more. I have one steam mop buy cheap buy twice but it is useless and just seems to smear the grime around the place, so I have to wipe the floor with a normal mop afterwards!
Am I doing something wrong? Are our floors just too dirty for any mop to cope with (2 labradors) or will this new super mop solve all my problems?
Finger hovering over the one click button....

ThatVikRinA22 Sun 25-May-14 15:27:39

it leaves floors virtually dry.
the hand held bit is fab. very powerful (as my blistered thumb will testify!) but not harsh enough to damage anything i dont think - i went through my kitchen yesterday like a whirlwind - it was so quick and so satisfying! the only thing it seemed a bit too hot for was my aluminium coated window blind - but i think i left it on one spot for too long and it took a tiny bit of the top coat off.....

its way better than the vax one i paid more for.

and yes - it has a fabric attachment to steam curtains and clothes etc.

i love it. i am currently looking for things to blast with steam!

FruVikingessOla Sun 25-May-14 15:51:37

I have just ordered one too. I am holding you responsible, Vicar, for it to be a fab cleaning tool grin.

I wonder if Amazon is bemused why they've suddenly got loads of orders today?!

BertieBotts Sun 25-May-14 16:02:03

You can use them to clean ovens?!?!
